Food Items like Cereals, Sugar, Fruits &amp; Vegetables, Tea, Meat, and Seafood are a major component of Indian exports to the country.

Dubai is a major hub for re-export, and concerns have been raised around the city as a hub for further outward flow. But traders are allowed to export non-Indian wheat but must take permission. The UAE economy ministry in the release has pointed that it "in the case of wheat and wheat flour products of non-Indian origin, companies wishing to export/re-export it may do so after applying to the Ministry for export permission outside the country".

While food exports from India may be one of the key areas of engagement, people to people connect forms a key pillar of the ties between the 2 countries. 3.5 million Indian passport holders are in the west Asian country and form 35% of the local population, which is the largest proportion anywhere in the Gulf. The country also hosts the largest number of Indians anywhere in the world.

The Yoga at Louvre, Abu Dhabi, which is the largest art museum in the Arabian Peninsula and only Louvre outside of France, is expected to be a spectacular affair. The Tata Group-owned Air India has decided to procure its maiden batch of wide-bodied A350 aircraft of Airbus and the first plane is likely to be delivered to the airline by March 2023, sources have said.

However, it was not immediately clear how many A350 aircraft will be purchased by Air India.

Air India has not bought a single aircraft since 2006 when it had placed orders for purchasing 111 aircraft, 68 from the US-based aircraft manufacturer Boeing and 43 from European aircraft manufacturer Airbus.

A wide-bodied plane like Airbus A350 has a bigger fuel tank that allows it to travel longer distances such as India-US routes.

The Tata Group took control of Air India on January 27 after successfully winning the bid for the airline on October 8 last year.

Sources on Wednesday said Air India has started asking its senior pilots if they will be interested in getting the "conversion training" to operate A350 aircraft.

Air India's pilots are trained to operate the wide-bodied aircraft of Boeing. Therefore, they have to undergo "conversion training" to operate A350 aircraft of Airbus.

According to Air India's website, the airline has total 49 wide-bodied aircraft -- 18 Boeing B777, 4 Boeing B747 and 27 B787 -- in its fleet. The carrier has 79 narrow-bodied planes in its fleet too.

Sources said Air India is purchasing A350 aircraft and is likely to get its first A350 plane by March 2023.

Since April, the airline's chairman N Chandrasekaran -- who also is the chairman of the Tata Group -- has rejigged the top management of the airline, bringing in senior and middle-level executives who have worked in other companies of the Tata Group such as Tata Steel and Vistara.

Air India and Airbus did not respond to PTI's queries regarding the aircraft procurement.&nbsp;

At the end of three-day official visit to Washington DC,&nbsp;Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla said on Friday that&nbsp;India and the United States are closely watching Pakistan's actions in Afghanistan.

The foreign secretary added that in the limited engagement which India has had with the Taliban, the new Afghan rulers&nbsp;have showed they would be reasonable in addressing New Delhi's concerns.

"Our engagement with them (the Taliban) has been limited. It's not that we have (had) a robust conversation. But for whatever conversation we've had so far, they've been sort of. At least, the Taliban seem to indicate that they will be reasonable in the way they handle this," he said.

The Indian diplomat was in the US capital for a series of meetings with his American counterpart and top officials of the Biden administration. He also had&nbsp;interaction with representations from the industry and think-tanks.

Regarding his questioning by ED on Monday, as per official sources, the Congress leader, a Z+ category protectee of the Central Reserve Police Force after the Union government withdrew the Gandhi family`s Special Protection Group cover in 2019, was confronted with several documents collated by the ED as evidence recovered so far in the case to get his version.

Rahul Gandhi was questioned in detail about the ownership of Young Indian Private Limited (YIL) by the Gandhi family and its shareholding pattern in Associated Journals Limited (AJL), the company that runs the National Herald newspaper, said sources.

The National Herald, started by India`s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru, was published by the AJL. In 2010, the AJL, which faced financial difficulties, was taken over by a newly-floated YIL with Suman Dubey and Sam Pitroda as directors, both of them Gandhi loyalists.

Taking part in the&nbsp;Paavo Nurmi Games, in Finland, Neeraj achieved a new high, setting up a new national record, and returned with a silver medal with a throw of 89.30 metres. Thus, the 24-year-old superstar also&nbsp;bettered his own previous national record&nbsp;of 88.07 meters which he had attained last year in March, in Patiala.

In his first attempt, Neeraj had a throw of 86.92 metres as he got off the mark in style. In only his second attempt, the youngster returned with a throw of 89.30, more than his gold-medal throw at Tokyo 2020. As soon as the javelin left his hands, the Indian star was sure about the distance it would reach and celebrated in style, as he did in Tokyo last year. India ticked all the boxes when it mattered the most and crushed South Africa by 48 runs in the must-win third T20 International to stay alive in the five-match series here on Tuesday.

Yuzvendra Chahal (3/20) and Harshal Patel (4/25) led the way with the ball after sizzling half-centuries from Ruturaj Gaikwad (57) and Ishan Kishan (54) powered India to 179 for five.

The bowlers came good after opener Gaikwad turned things around with a scintillating knock and Ishan scored his second fifty of the series.

Under the scanner for his patchy form of late, Gaikwad hit two maximums and seven fours in his 35-ball knock, and Ishan too scored his runs in 35 balls after being asked to take first strike.

It was Gaikwad, who turned aggressor after a watchful start and exploded in the fifth over, slamming five successive boundaries off Anrich Nortje.

If the first one was cut with aplomb, he danced down the track for the second four. The third boundary was a lucky one as the ball hit his grill while Gaikwad tried to move away from a nasty bouncer.

Gaikwad then punished Nortje for bowling a half volley and the fifth ball was sent across the third man.

Gaikwad completed his fifty in 30 balls and then welcomed Keshav Maharaj with an inside out lift for a four, but the spinner had him caught off his own bowling with India on 97 for one at the halfway stage. 
Ishan then gave a special treatment to Maharaj, picking up two fours and a six en route a 31-ball fifty, his second of the series.

New-man Shreyas Iyer looked in good touch as he blasted a six each off Nortje and Shamsi, but the spinner dismissed him with Nortje timing his jump to perfection for a nice catch.
