Chief Coordinator for India's G20 Presidency - Harsh Vardhan Shringla – said on Tuesday that "until and unless our legitimate issues are addressed, it cannot be diplomacy as usual" with China.&nbsp;

“China is a member of the G20. It is our neighbouring country and one of the largest economies in the world. But I must add that unless our legitimate issues are addressed by China, it cannot be diplomacy as usual. The bilateral relationship will not take its natural course and it is important that those important issues linked to peace and tranquility in the border areas are also addressed,” he told WION’s Molly Gambhir on the sidelines of the Global Technology Summit.

This will be the first time that India will assume the presidency of G20. 
The Chief Coordinator called it “a historic moment for India", while adding that "it is also the most significant global event that we will host".

When asked about the criticism from Western countries regarding India's stance on the Russia-Ukraine war, he said, "India will work for the benefit of the world at large. That has always been the focus of our foreign policy".

Female athletes from the Kashmir Valley have proven their&nbsp;mettle in various sports across the world. And now for the first time, Over 200 female athletes are being trained at the water sports centre in the middle of the world-Famous Dal Lake to&nbsp;participate in tournaments across India and the world.&nbsp; While the temperatures in Srinagar were recorded at minus 2.2 degrees, these female water sports athletes are not stopping their training. With freezing temperatures across the region, these girls are training for hours every day on the Dal Lake. From rowing to Canoeing, these Kashmiri girls want to bring laurels for the country.&nbsp;

In the last two years over 70 medals in various tournaments have been won by these female athletes.&nbsp; ''If we talk about the last two or three years, there has been a huge increase in the number&nbsp;of female participations in water sports. There have been around&nbsp;110 medals won by water sports athletes and over 50 percent of these medals are taken by female athletes. Earlier, everyone used to say that water sports are not for women, It was a challenging role for me also when I started. There is a revolution&nbsp;in women participation in Kashmir and soon we will see these girls' winning&nbsp;medals in national and international tournaments,'' said Bilquis Mir Director Water Sports.&nbsp;

Bilquis is among the topmost water sports athletes from the valley herself. She was also a judge on the panel both at the Olympics as well as Asian games. She has represented Kashmir at Various international tournaments and won dozens of medals. And now she not only trains but inspires Kashmiri girls to pick up water sports as their&nbsp;career. She says Kashmiri girls have a lot of natural strength and can-do wonders in the water sports. She is not only looking&nbsp;at the city but rural areas searching for the talent to be part of the sports.&nbsp;

''It's winter and minus temperatures and despite that these girls are training for hours every day on the lake. I have trained over 200 female athletes, and I think there is so much talent especially in the rural areas in the Kashmir region. There is natural strength&nbsp;in the girls of the valley. We have a world class facility available in Kashmir. We are blessed with natural water resources both wild and still. And nothing is stopping these girls from training as the national tournaments are approaching. Katni Superintendent of Police S K Jain in a telephonic conversation with PTI news agency said on Sunday they have arrested two men who have given their names as Subham Tiwari (24 years old), a Patna resident, and Ankush Sahu (25 years old), a resident of Buxar, from Mandla with the help of police from that district.

The police said that the gang members have been trying to mislead them. They added that they are verifying the names of the criminal. Moreover, a police team rushed to Patna to check their dossier. The police officials said that they are keeping up their efforts to arrest four other members of the gang.&nbsp;

The list, a version of which has been seen by Reuters in New Delhi, is provisional and it is unclear how many of the items will eventually be exported and in what quantity, but an Indian government source said the request was unusual in its scope.&nbsp;

India is keen to boost trade in this way, said the source, as it tries to narrow a ballooning trade deficit with Russia. Some companies have expressed concern, however, about potentially falling foul of Western sanctions.&nbsp;

An industry source in Moscow, who declined to be named because of the sensitivity of the issue, said Russia's Ministry of Industry and Trade asked large companies to supply lists of raw materials and equipment they needed.&nbsp;

The source added that further discussion would be needed to agree specifications and volumes and that the outreach was not limited to India.&nbsp;

Russia's Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Indian foreign and commerce ministries and the prime minister's office did not immediately respond to requests for comment.&nbsp;

Russia's requests were made weeks ahead of Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar's visit to Moscow starting Nov. 7, two of the Indian sources said. It was not immediately clear what was conveyed by New Delhi to Russia during the visit.&nbsp;

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government has not joined Western countries in openly criticising Moscow for the war in Ukraine, and has&nbsp;sharply increased&nbsp;purchases of Russian oil that have cushioned it from some of the impact of sanctions.&nbsp;

During the Moscow&nbsp;visit, Jaishankar said India needed to boost exports to Russia to balance bilateral trade that is now tilted towards Russia.&nbsp;

He was accompanied on the visit by senior officials in charge of agriculture, petroleum and natural gas, ports and shipping, finance, chemicals and fertiliser, and trade - which he said showed the importance of ties with Russia.&nbsp;read more&nbsp;

Western sanctions have crippled supplies of some crucial products in Russia.&nbsp;

Airlines are experiencing an&nbsp;acute shortage&nbsp;of parts because almost all planes are foreign-made. Car parts are also in demand, with global automakers having left the market.&nbsp;

A source in Russia's car sales industry said the trade ministry had sent a list of car parts needed to corresponding ministries and state agencies in other countries, including India.&nbsp;

The list of items from Russia, which runs to nearly 14 pages, includes car engine parts like pistons, oil pumps and ignition coils. There is also demand for bumpers, seatbelts and infotainment systems.&nbsp;

For aircraft and helicopters, Russia requested 41 items including landing gear components, fuel systems, communication systems and fire extinguishing systems, life jackets and aviation tyres.&nbsp;

Also on the list were raw materials to produce paper, paper bags and consumer packaging and materials and equipment to produce textiles including yarns and dyes, according to the document reviewed by Reuters.&nbsp;

Russian metals producers like nickel and palladium giant&nbsp;Nornickel&nbsp;(GMKN.MM)&nbsp;have said Western sanctions and self-sanctioning by some suppliers have made it difficult for industrial companies to obtain imported equipment, spare parts, materials and technologies in 2022, posing a challenge to their development programmes.

The list includes nearly 200 metallurgy items.&nbsp;

Russia has been India's largest supplier of military equipment for decades and it is the fourth-biggest market for Indian pharmaceutical products.&nbsp;

But with purchases of Russian oil soaring and coal and fertiliser shipments also strong, India is looking for ways to rebalance trade, the first Indian government source said.&nbsp;

Indian imports from Russia have grown nearly five times to $29 billion between Feb. 24 and Nov. 20 compared with $6 billion in the same period a year ago. Exports, meanwhile, have fallen to $1.9 billion from $2.4 billion, the source said.&nbsp;

India is hoping to boost its exports to nearly $10 billion over coming months with Russia's list of requests, according to the government source.&nbsp;

But some Indian companies are reluctant to export to Russia over fears of being sanctioned by the West, the lack of clarity over payments and challenges to securing insurance.&nbsp;

"There is a hesitancy among exporters ... particularly on sanctioned items," said Ajay Sahai, director general of the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO), a body supported by India's commerce ministry.&nbsp;

Sahai, who is aware of Russia's request, said even small- and medium-sized exporters who could meet some of the requests and had previously exported to Iran after Western sanctions, were not enthusiastic.&nbsp;

Ulemas are seen as influential figures in Islamic society and the meeting is seen as a way to take forward the cooperation to promote tolerance, harmony and counter violent extremism and radicalisation. A joint press release will also be issued at the end of the event by the 2 sides.

The meet is also expected to discuss growing defence cooperation between the 2 sides. This latest development from Chennai-based rocket company Agnikul Cosmos will enable them to launch their own rockets into space. This private facility, also India’s first such, is located within India’s existing and lone spaceport, the Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota.&nbsp;

The new facility has been inaugurated on Monday, by the Chairman, of ISRO, Dr S. Somanath, senior officials from ISRO and the Agnikul team. It has been designed by Agnikul and executed with support from IN-SPACe (the government entity which supports and promotes private space firms in India). This facility comprises two sections - Agnikul Launchpad (ALP) and Agnikul Mission Control Centre(AMCC).&nbsp;

Agnikul’s first launch will be a controlled &amp; guided mission having a vertical launch and&nbsp;will happen from this launchpad. The mission would be a technology demonstrator that will mirror Agnikul’s orbital launch but at a reduced scale. Commenting about their new facility,&nbsp;Srinath Ravichandran, Co-founder &amp; CEO, Agnikul&nbsp;said, "The ability to launch from our own launchpad while still working with ISRO’s launch operations teams is a privilege that we have been granted by ISRO &amp; IN-SPACe and I am deeply grateful to them for the same. It is dream come true for all of us at Agnikul to launch our vehicles from a facility we have designed and built ourselves."

Over the last 60 years, the most sophisticated aspects of India’s space programme (such as building and launching rockets, satellites, and operating support facilities) have been the monopoly of India’s Government-run space agency. However, the space sector reforms rolled out by the Indian Government in 2020, permitted private companies to delve into this niche sector and carry out business activities.&nbsp;

In line with this, India has witnessed a multiplication of start-ups in the space sector, recently India’s first privately built rocket was launched into the upper atmosphere, and satellites built by Indian firms were launched on India’s workhorse PSLV rocket (built and operated by the Government-run space agency).&nbsp;

The announcement from Agnikul takes this further, as it would be the fifth operational rocket Launchpad in India. ISRO operates two main launchpads in Sriharikota meant for its large orbital rockets and has a Sounding rocket complex for its smaller &amp; sub-orbital rockets. ISRO’s lead facility in Kerala’s Thiruvananthapuram also has a Launchpad for small-sounding (sub-orbital) rockets.&nbsp;In addition to this, the Indian Government is building another spaceport for small orbital rockets, closer to the tip of the Indian peninsula, at Kulasekarapattinam in Tamil Nadu.

This private facility, also India’s first such, is located within India’s existing and lone spaceport, the Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota. The new facility has been inaugurated on Monday, by the Chairman, of ISRO, Dr S. Somanath, senior officials from ISRO and the Agnikul team. It has been designed by Agnikul and executed with support from IN-SPACe (the government entity which supports and promotes private space firms in India). This facility comprises two sections - Agnikul Launchpad (ALP) and Agnikul Mission Control Centre(AMCC). The Launchpad is built specifically keeping in mind the ability to support liquid-stage controlled launches, while also addressing the need for ISRO’s range operations team to monitor key flight safety parameters during launches. Additionally, it has the ability to, as necessary share data and other critical information with ISRO’s mission control centre. The US secretary of state, Anthony Blinken also paid homage to the victims of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks and pledged to provide support 'to bring to justice the perpetrators of the Mumbai attacks.'

At a UN counter-terrorism meeting in Mumbai in October of this year,&nbsp;Antony Blinken and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar brought up the idea of designating the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack's planners as international terrorists. At the conference held at the Taj Mahal Palace hotel, one of the locations of the 2008 terror assault, there were representatives from each of the 15 UNSC members.

A statement by President Droupadi Murmu on Twitter read: “We share the enduring pain of their loved ones and families. Nation pays homage to the security personnel who fought valiantly and made supreme sacrifice in the line of duty,” the tweet further read.

Defence minister Rajnath Singh also joined in paying tributes to the victims of the attacks. In a tweet, he said that he “salutes the memory of all those who lost their lives in this incident”. “My heartfelt tributes to the security personnel who sacrificed their lives while fighting this attack. This country has not forgotten the incident of 26/11, nor will it ever forget,” his tweet read.

One of the deadliest terror assaults in Indian history, the Mumbai attacks in 2008 lasted for four days till November 29. These attacks resulted in the deaths of over 150 people, including police officers, civilians, and even foreign nationals. In the attacks, more than 300 individuals suffered injuries. Up to 10 members of the Pakistani Islamist terrorist group Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) reached Mumbai over the Arabian Sea and wreaked havoc by carrying out coordinated operations in many different sites throughout the Indian financial centre. Along with the Taj Hotel, the attacks also occurred at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus, the Leopold Cafe, the Nariman House, and the Oberoi Trident.
