Brij Bhushan said in a video, "Friends, the day I introspect on what I gained or lost, and feel that I no longer have the strength to fight; the day I feel helpless, I would wish death as I won't be living a life like that. <p>Amid this, a statement by the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) president PT Usha drew strong rebuke by many when she said the wrestlers are tarnishing the image of the country and they should have approached the body instead of taking to the streets.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The protesting wrestlers termed her remarks "insensitive."</p>

<p>Sakshi Malik, the first Indian female wrestler to win a medal at the Olympics, said, "Being a woman athlete, she (PT Usha) is not listening to other women athletes. We have followed her since childhood and were inspired by her. Where is the indiscipline here? We are holding a peaceful protest."</p>

'I would wish death...': India's wrestling body chief releases video amid sexual harassment allegations

<p>The Delhi High Court on Friday (April 28) allowed a minor Nepalese girl who had been the victim of gang rape to have her pregnancy medically terminated at the Lok Nayak Jai Prakash (LNJP) Hospital since it had lasted longer than the legal limit of 24 weeks.</p>

<p>“Accordingly in view of the fact that the child is a rape victim and taking a humanitarian view of the matter though the child and her family are Nepalese citizens, this court directs that the medical termination of pregnancy be effected as soon as possible by the doctors of the LNJP hospital,” said a single judge bench of Justice Prathiba Singh after interacting with the medical board at the hospital and the mother of the victim, as reported by The Indian Express.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The&nbsp;High Court (HC)&nbsp;further ordered the LNJP hospital's medical staff to make sure the girl receives the best treatment possible as well as post-operative care so she can recuperate and only then be discharged.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to the HC, the current order is being issued given the specific facts and circumstances of the case.</p>

<p>“The family has assured that in case the foetus is born alive considering the age of the foetus, the family would give adequate care in the nursery of LNJP,” the court recorded.</p>

<p>Anuj Kapoor, an attorney representing the survivor's&nbsp;mother, stated that if a situation like that occurred, "we will revive the writ petition and will seek appropriate directions." The judge, however, stated that while they have permission to file the application, they must care for the infant in the interim period.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The medical board's opinion is that a pregnancy can be terminated, but there are some risks due to the girl's low haemoglobin and the baby's gestational age of 27 weeks. This information was provided to the court by two doctors from the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Neonatology, LNJP, who had joined the hearing virtually.</p>

<p>The mother received counselling about the risks from both doctors, who testified before the court. They are aware of the risks involved, Kapoor further stated.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The petitioner's claim was that in October 2022, a brutal&nbsp;case of gang rape occurred on her daughter in Nepal. According to information provided to the court, the petitioner and her entire family are citizens of Nepal, and the girl's parents both had jobs in India.</p>

<p>The girl moved in with her parents in India in March of this year, according to Kapoor's earlier argument, which claimed that's when she discovered she was pregnant.</p>

<p>According to information previously provided to the court, she was already 25 weeks pregnant when she approached the relevant authority or the doctors to request an abortion. The mother then went to the HC to ask for permission to end her daughter's pregnancy because it had lasted longer than the legal limit of 24 weeks. On April 21, the HC gave LNJP the go-ahead to form a medical board that would examine the minor&nbsp;girl and provide an opinion.<br />

<p>In a disturbing instance, a 30-year-old female architect in Bengaluru jumped off a moving Rapido bike to escape the&nbsp;driver who tried to sexually harass her and take her to the wrong location.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The woman booked a Rapido bike on the evening of April 21 and the driver picked her up at at 11:10 p.m. The rider, who allegedly grabbed her phone under the pretence of confirming the one-time password (OTP), instead of going in the intended direction, began moving in the opposite direction.</p>

<p>According to police, despite the woman raising an alarm and instructing the driver to comply with directions, he remained silent, as reported by India Today.</p>

<p>The woman then took her phone back from the rider and noticed he was intoxicated. In retaliation, the rider snatched the phone back&nbsp;and increased the speed.&nbsp;The rider also allegedly groped her, according to reports.</p>

<p>The woman told officials that she had to jump from the moving motorbike to save herself. The footage was captured by roadside CCTV cameras.</p>

<p>Just last month, the chairperson&nbsp;of the Delhi Commission for Women (DCW), Swati Maliwal, stated that a notice has been sent to Uber India and the Delhi Police in connection with the molestation of a female journalist in an Uber taxi in Delhi.</p>

<p>Maliwal in a tweet said, "Notice has been issued to Uber India and Delhi Police over the unfortunate incident of molestation of a female journalist in an Uber Auto in Delhi. Information has also been sought about the steps taken by Uber for the safety of women."</p>

My breasts were visible in the mirror and he was looking at me. I became uncomfortable and shifted towards my right. The EFTA is a regional trade organisation comprising four European states - Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland.</p>

<p>The meeting was attended by India's trade minister, Piyush Goyal, along with the Minister of Trade and Industry of Norway, Jan Christian Vestre; Swiss State Secretary at the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs, Helene Budliger Artieda; Permanent Secretary of State of Iceland at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, Martin Eyjólfsson; Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Liechtenstein to EFTA, WTO, and the UN in Geneva, Kurt Jäger; and Secretary-General of the EFTA, Henri Gétaz.</p>

<p>The resumption of trade talks between India and the EFTA countries is expected to boost trade ties between the two sides. India has been seeking to strengthen its economic relations with EFTA countries, as it seeks to diversify its export markets.</p>

<p>The EFTA countries, on the other hand, are looking to expand their presence in the fast-growing Indian market. New Delhi is in talks for a trade pact with EU, UK, Israel among others already.</p>
