<p><br><strong>Q: How did you get interested in fashion journalism? Specifically in the reel commentary format on Instagram?&nbsp;</strong></p>
<p>Ever since I was in 10th grade, I&rsquo;ve known that Fashion was my calling. I was deeply influenced by the content I consumed and inspired by the lifestyle it represented&mdash;one I aspired to achieve. Fashion felt like the perfect path to turn those aspirations into reality. While I always intended to pursue fashion communication, my journey into creating reels and providing fashion commentary happened organically. I simply embraced the opportunities as they came.</p>
<p><strong>Q: You have criticised some celebrities' fashion sense on your page - are they still your friends?&nbsp;</strong></p>
<p>Absolutely! I mean, no one can escape Sufi's sharp eye. But I think the reason my friends still stick around is that they truly understand my content. They know my commentary isn&rsquo;t about them as individuals&mdash;it&rsquo;s purely about the clothes they&rsquo;re wearing.</p>
<p><strong>Q: What are three key trends you see in Indian fashion today?</strong></p>
<p>I'm not going to lie. This is one question that I really do not like whenever I am asked because I really don&rsquo;t wanna promote trends anymore because I feel like 2025 should be all about personal style and I want everybody to shine the inner artist in them. and culture just promotes unhealthy buying, which I really do not stand for.</p>
<p><strong>Q: You have achieved recognition and respect in the fashion industry at the young age of 21. How do you feel about it?</strong></p>
<p>It's honestly mind-blowing how one day I just started talking, and suddenly people entrusted me with this kind of authority and responsibility. I&rsquo;m so grateful that people enjoy my content&mdash;it truly makes me feel like the happiest person alive.</p>

Specifically in the reel commentary format on Instagram? Ever since I was in 10th grade, I’ve known that Fashion was my calling. I was deeply influenced by the content I consumed and inspired by the lifestyle it represented—one I aspired to achieve. Fashion felt like the perfect path to turn those aspirations into reality. While I always intended to pursue fashion communication, my journey into creating reels and providing fashion commentary happened organically. I simply embraced the opportunities as they came. Q: You have criticised some celebrities' fashion sense on your page - are they still your friends? Absolutely! I mean, no one can escape Sufi's sharp eye. But I think the reason my friends still stick around is that they truly understand my content. They know my commentary isn’t about them as individuals—it’s purely about the clothes they’re wearing. <p>Dressed in fake prehistoric fur outfits, five PETA activists held up placards reading "Leave The Stone Age" in front of the French Fashion Institute, while the Brigitte Bardot Foundation sent billboards on trucks denouncing the use of animals for fashion around the City of Light.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Fur and sheepskin jackets are back in fashion, with experts like Simon Longland, director of fashion buying at Harrods in London, saying the shearling coat is "set to be the ultimate wardrobe investment" for Fall-Winter 2025.</p>
<p>"We're here to demand that Paris joins London, Copenhagen and Amsterdam too in banning the use of fur on their catwalks," PETA spokeswoman Natasha Garnier said.</p>
<p>On the runways, France's Victor Weinsanto, Japanese label CFCL and New York's Vaquera held their shows before the bigger corporate luxury jugganauts unveil their Fall-Winter collections later this week.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Japanese designer Yusuke Takahashi, who founded CFCL (Clothing For Contemporary Life) just under five years ago, sent out models in knitwear outfits in primary colours, inspired partly by furniture from the 1980s. There was no fur or animal hide in sight, with Takahashi making elaborate use of his favourite material, recycled polyester, which was used for 90 percent of the collection.&nbsp;</p>
<p>"We really focused on knit technology and making new products," he told reporters afterwards.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Victor Weinsanto, an up-and-coming designer from eastern France, stressed that he only used fake leather and fur in his collection in mostly neutral wintery colours of white, beige and black, with a splash of 1980s-style shade of purple.</p>

<p>Over the next eight days, more than 100 fashion houses will unveil their Fall-Winter 2025-2026 collections, hoping to rally sales in what is an increasingly difficult global luxury market.</p>
<p>Among the most anticipated will be Sarah Burton's debut at Givenchy on Friday, with the French label given a boost by Hollywood star Timothee Chalamet, who wore a yellow Givenchy suit at the Oscars ceremony at the weekend.</p>
<p>Burton, a 51-year-old Briton who made her name as creative director at Alexander McQueen, was appointed to Givenchy in September.</p>
<p>"Givenchy has a very beautiful history," she told Vogue in a profile last month. "It appeals to me because it's a small house, and it's in Paris."</p>
<p>Burton is one of a number of recent changes at major brands, with Belgian veteran Dries Van Noten stepping down from his eponymous label last year and handing the reins to fellow countryman Julian Klausner, 33.</p>
<p>Klausner's first collection on March 5 will be closely scrutinised. The French Haute Couture and Fashion Federation has also pulled off a coup by luring Tom Ford, a mainstay of New York Fashion Week, to Paris for the first time.</p>

Paris Fashion Week kicks off with big designer debuts expected

<p>As a vegetarian, I&rsquo;ve struggled while travelling to South East Asian countries like Laos and Cambodia for food. Having heard of Bahrain as a vegetarian food capital in the Middle East, I wanted to give exploring Bahrain a shot. It could not have been a better decision in my life.</p>
<p>Bahrain has a wide selection of vegetarian restaurants. The first one I tried was Asha&rsquo;s curated by none other than the Indian music icon Asha Bhosle herself. From food including Palak patta chaat and samosa chaat to delicious paneer makhni, the restaurant had a lot to offer. With Asha Bhosle&rsquo;s music playing the background to a stunning wall curated with her images, the restaurant screamed Indian. However, a simple look outside the window would tell you that you are in Bahrain. With views of the canal and a stunning skyline - the restaurant is modern and chic.</p>
<p>My next stop was Rasmalai. As the name very much suggests, the restaurant had a selection of Indian food. From mango lassi, onion bhajiyas and delicious vegetarian biryani, I didn&rsquo;t miss home at all. To top it off, the chef came out himself and spoke to me in Hindi. He also treated us with a Rasmalai on the house since I am Indian. A sweet gesture indeed. Located in a happening area, Rasmalai has a lot of restaurants and shops around. I enjoyed live music around the avenue too.</p>
<p>We came back to the Rasmalai vicinity to try Plant Cafe, a hundred percent vegan cafe serving a multi cuisine menu. With the values of Ayurveda and yoga, the German Saudi restaurant owner had created a menu with nothing to miss. From aloo paratha to vegan sushi to mac and cheese, there was pretty much everything here. I loved their ambience too - it felt freeing strangely. To be in a majority Muslim country and still cater to a vegan audience was a brave business model to run.</p>

<p>It indeed felt strange when the breakfast menu at my hotel - Conrad, at Sushi Samba, catered to my Mexican cravings with vegan tacos. There was also an element of sunlight with window-paneled roofs that led to stunning views of the sky. While I mostly saw rich Bahrainis dining at Villa Mamas, I knew it&rsquo;s a space tourists frequent to often. As an award-winning cafe, the owner has taken the cafe to other countries creating a huge demand for tables. My guide booked my table three weeks in advance.</p>

Lifestyle While in Bahrain, one realizes being an Indian vegetarian is not tough. It’s a delight and leads to indulgence. Known as the vegetarian food capital in the Middle East, Bahrain has a wide selection of vegetarian restaurants.

As a vegetarian, I’ve struggled while travelling to South East Asian countries like Laos and Cambodia for food. Having heard of Bahrain as a vegetarian food capital in the Middle East, I wanted to give exploring Bahrain a shot. It could not have been a better decision in my life. Bahrain has a wide selection of vegetarian restaurants. The first one I tried was Asha’s curated by none other than the Indian music icon Asha Bhosle herself. From food including Palak patta chaat and samosa chaat to delicious paneer makhni, the restaurant had a lot to offer. With Asha Bhosle’s music playing the background to a stunning wall curated with her images, the restaurant screamed Indian. However, a simple look outside the window would tell you that you are in Bahrain. With views of the canal and a stunning skyline - the restaurant is modern and chic. My next stop was Rasmalai. As the name very much suggests, the restaurant had a selection of Indian food. From mango lassi, onion bhajiyas and delicious vegetarian biryani, I didn’t miss home at all. To top it off, the chef came out himself and spoke to me in Hindi. He also treated us with a Rasmalai on the house since I am Indian. A sweet gesture indeed. Located in a happening area, Rasmalai has a lot of restaurants and shops around. I enjoyed live music around the avenue too. We came back to the Rasmalai vicinity to try Plant Cafe, a hundred percent vegan cafe serving a multi cuisine menu. With the values of Ayurveda and yoga, the German Saudi restaurant owner had created a menu with nothing to miss. <p>According to a police statement at the time, an investigation identified suppliers described as Chinese-owned factories in Italy, "which managed to reduce costs by resorting to the use of irregular and illegal workers in exploitative conditions".</p>
<p>On Friday, Dior -- which is owned by French luxury giant LVMH -- said it "welcomes the successful early resolution of the judicial administrative proceedings and appreciates the court's recognition of our unwavering commitment to the highest ethical and operational standards".</p>
<p>"Thanks to a constructive and collaborative dialogue with the court of Milan and the court-appointed experts, Dior was able to further enhance our supply chain operations and establish a new benchmark for industry best practices," it said.</p>
<p>A unit of Armani was also placed under judicial administration last year following concerns over labour law violations by subcontractors, but that was lifted last week.</p>

<p>Perhaps my biggest realisation of 2025 has been that city life just isn&rsquo;t for me. <p>Recently, I found Swastik, a luxury wellbeing sanctuary located on the outskirts of Pune on the foothills of the Sahyadris. I decided to go for a three-day wellness journey without really knowing what I was getting into. However, it couldn&rsquo;t have been any better.</p>
<p>My journey began with a gong vibration to open my chakras and lead to the inner journey. After that I was greeted with music and aarti, which made my soul feel respected and appreciated. Inspired by the nine planets, the backdrop made me realise I was a deep-seated part of the universe and I was at the retreat for a reason - to heal myself and align myself with the divine.</p>
<p>My mother had her journey to go through, we knew little about what we would experience together. As a doctor consulted us post arrival, they screened us individually for our health issues,<em> doshas,</em> and mental health. For each of us, they created a unique wellness journey we had to follow based on our health concerns.</p>
<p>I was led to an infrared room, where I took a sauna for 10 minutes. With me were other women, including my mother, discussing everything from PCOS to menopause, from tanning to gaining weight, from mental health to divorce. Nothing was taboo in the sauna room and everyone bonded with empathy. There was a realisation that we are all there in solidarity and understanding that health can be discussed openly and should never be taken for granted.</p>

<p>Post that, my therapist led me to the spa room where I tried a deep tissue massage. The spa room overlooked the Sahyadris and made me feel connected with myself. I was knocked off to sleep. I awoke in a trance and realised the spa had ended. My body felt healed. The steam room was a calming space where I lay and thought about everything life had to offer. My whole focus transformed into the present moment. Rather than pondering over the past or future, I could take a moment and live in the present moment. My mother, later revealed to me she felt bliss like she hadn&rsquo;t in months.</p>
<p>Every meal with my mother at Rasa began with a prayer of gratitude. We spent time together and talked to each other. It felt good to not be using our phones and actually spending time to understand each other. The meals are spectacularly curated by Chef Arvind - pure vegetarian, lacking too many masalas, designed with healthy alternatives and curated to be delicious. Unlike other retreats I have heard of, the food was delicious and I didn&rsquo;t feel like I was missing anything.</p>
<p>More than anything else - I enjoyed my time in the rooms the most. Named<em> guhas</em>, meaning caves - the rooms at Swastik are designed without any edges and look like a cave. The shape and colour are intended to represent a mother&rsquo;s womb since according to ayurveda, we are most complete when we are in the womb of our mother. That&rsquo;s the only place where we don&rsquo;t cry. And being there with my mother felt wholesome like this wellness journey was intended for both of us.</p>

But it felt wholesome to laugh together and bond together.</p>
<p>Halotherapy is a form of salt therapy which can help to clear out allergies and boost blood flow in the body. My mother and I tried halotherapy together. Surrounded by stunning natural green plants, the halotherapy room opened us to a view of butterflies, chameleons, bird sounds and all kinds of natural flowers. While in the room, my mother and I talked, laughed and rejoiced as we healed.</p>
<p>Perhaps attending the retreat with my mother was the best choice I made for both of us. Not only did we bond better and get a much-needed break, but we also healed together.</p>

Ahead of Ramadan, British monarch King Charles III and his wife Queen Camilla stopped by London's popular eatery Darjeeling Express to help the staff pack food for patients in various hospitals for Iftar during the holy month. The royal couple packed dates and biryani for donations ahead of Ramadan. The restaurant owned by Birtish-Indian chef Asma Khan shared a video of the royal couple packing dates and biryani and revealed they too took home some biryani.<br><br>The Darjeeling Express serves authentic Mughlai and Bengali cuisine and is quite a hit with celebrities. The restaurant's Sunday Supper Club is much talked about, where Asma Khan and an all-female kitchen staff prepare the famous Kolkata Biryani for diners.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The family's social media handles shared a video of the couple interacting with the staff and meeting a group of Muslim women. <p>A 2024 study published in The Lancet journal revealed that abdominal obesity is most prevalent in the country. The findings suggested that 40 per cent of women and 12 per cent of men are abdominally obese in the country.</p>
<h2><strong>PM&rsquo;s advice on obesity</strong></h2>
<p>While consuming junk food and having a sedentary lifestyle plays a major role in obesity, other factors, including excess consumption of edible oils, also contribute to obesity. Moreover, excessive use of oil in diet can also lead to several other diseases like heart disease, diabetes, and hypertension.</p>

<p>&ldquo;One method I suggested was reducing the consumption of edible oil by 10 per cent. Decide that you will use 10 per cent less oil every month.
