While on one hand Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan warns that if Pakistan is blacklisted at the FATF, it will be destroyed due to inflation and a massive fall in Pakistani rupee. On the other hand, he is playing politics with opposition of his country by trying to&nbsp;propose&nbsp;legislations related to the FATF.&nbsp;Instead of clamping down on terrorists, Pakistan is misusing the laws to suppress critical voices with the arrest of journalists and threats of violence against editors.&nbsp;

Pakistan has so far been saved by its allies:&nbsp;China, Turkey and Malaysia.

However, ahead of FATF meeting, a new Pakistani document&nbsp;issued&nbsp;in the name of director/commanding officer Wajahat Ali Khan,&nbsp;certifies Hizbul chief Salahuddin as 'bona fide' official of ISI.

Salahuddin, who also heads United Jihad Council (UJC), an umbrella organisation of terrorist outfits like Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), has security clearance which states he should not be stopped unnecessarily as security checkpoints.

While Pakistan pretended to increase financial curbs on the members of Jamat ud-Dawa, and Jaish-e-Mohammed last month to avoid getting blacklisted, the terrorists of the organisations are still operating freely in the country.

Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades said the Mediterranean island&nbsp;is ready to engage in dialogue with Turkey to resolve differences but not under threats.

On Tuesday, Turkey extended the operations of its Yavuz energy drill ship in disputed Mediterranean waters off Cyprus until Oct. 12, in a move that could stir tension between the island's Greek Cypriot government and Ankara.

Turkey, Greece and Cyprus have been locked in a row over energy resources and maritime borders in the region, with Ankara infuriating the EU countries by sending research ships with naval escorts to work in contested waters.

"Yes, Turkey is in a troubled neighbourhood. And yes, it is hosting millions of refugees, for which we support them with considerable funding. But none of this is justification for attempts to intimidate its neighbours."

Greece and Cyprus can count on Europe's "full solidarity on protecting their legitimate sovereignty rights", she added.

Buckland told Times Radio that the bill was needed as an insurance policy in case the EU made a "material breach" of their obligations but that the talks were not yet at that stage and that London would use current mechanisms to find a compromise.

Lam's comments come after relatives of some of the detainees held a news conference on Saturday to demand their urgent return and plead for them to be allowed to call home and consult lawyers appointed by the families and not the Chinese government.

Hours before the families' appearance, US&nbsp;Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said the United States was deeply concerned about the activists, noting they had been denied access to lawyers.

The US&nbsp;Ambassador to China Terry Branstad will&nbsp;step down early next month,&nbsp;ending of his&nbsp;three-year tenure to work on President Donald Trump's re-election campaign.

In a statement, the US embassy in Beijing confirmed the departure, saying&nbsp;Branstad&nbsp;was retiring and would leave Beijing next month. It added that he had confirmed his decision to President Donald Trump by phone last week.
