As per a report in the TOI, the BCCI is planning to scrap the mega auction and the franchises would continue with their current roster.&nbsp;

"What's the point in doing a mega auction now and not have enough time to plan it properly? IPL might as well go ahead and finish the 2021 edition of the tournament and then see how it wants to go about," a source told TOI. 
Given the gap between IPL 2020 and IPL 2021 is around five months, franchises have reportedly agreed to the idea of no IPL.

Tiger Woods said the absence of an adoring and raucous crowd at the PGA Championship on Thursday was part of the “new normal” for the sport, which is holding its first major without any fans in attendance due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Well, that’s our new normal,” he told reporters.

That showed in his putting, which included a 30-foot birdie putt on the par-four 13th that drew applause and some hoots from a group of grounds crew.

“It’s just different. That’s probably the only way to say it,” he said.

“This is what we’re going to have to get used to in the near future and for probably for a while.”

Every player and caddie underwent coronavirus testing prior to the tournament and media are required to wear face coverings and maintain social distance at the event, which was originally scheduled to be held in May.

Woods is looking to win his 16th major, fifth PGA Championship and record-breaking 83rd PGA Tour victory at the lake side course on the west side of San Francisco.

Woods, who went out in the morning wave alongside world number one Justin Thomas and Rory McIlroy, did not appear bothered by the coastal fog and cooler conditions as he mixed five birdies and three bogeys.

"Stop putting me in the same group as these disgusting people that are discriminating others because of their skin colour, religion or gender.

"I'm not part of them and I never will. I've always been respectful to everyone and that should be the standard in today's world.

"And to whoever is using my image to promote their wrong ideas, please stop. I'm not into politics and I don't want to be involved in that."

As per a report in TOI, CSK players will gather in Chennai on August 19 and will start preparations for the cash-rich tournament after landing in Dubai. They will be hosted by a hotel near the iconic Burj Khalifa after being taken by a chartered flight from India to the UAE.&nbsp;

"At least for the initial phase, the families won't be travelling with the players. No commercial flights are being allowed to fly out so CSK have to arrange for a chartered flight," a source told TOI.
