8 Brain Foods Which Are Good For Strengthening Memory

Nuts like walnuts, almonds, and peanuts, along with pumpkin and sunflower seeds are rich in protein and omega fatty acids which improve memory.

Oily fish, like salmon, contain omega 3, as well as DHA which is a building block of the brain and helps in improving brain function.

Beans are also rich in omega fatty acids, vitamins and fibre which keeps one’s stomach fuller and leads to gradual release of sugar which helps in improving concentration and memory.

Blueberries as well as other dark berries contain antioxidants which protect the body against free radicals. This makes them a powerful brain food.

Greens like kale, spinach and broccoli contain vitamin E along with folate. Vitamin E protects cell membranes from free radicals.

Lean red meats, like sirloin steak, are loaded with iron. Iron helps in the production of neurotransmitters and helps blood cells transfer oxygen throughout the body.

Avocados contain omega fatty acids and vitamin E which are important for cell growth as well as brain development.

Tomatoes are rich in lycopene, which is a type of antioxidant that regulates cell growth within the brain.

Chicken vs Paneer Face-Off: What’s The More Healthy Option?

For health-conscious people, the decision to choose between chicken and paneer turns out to be a tough one, as both boast of being protein-rich.

Paneer, being a rich source of Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids, prevents rheumatoid arthritis and also improves haemoglobin.

Chicken too has many benefits. It is a great source of amino acids and helps in building stronger muscles and bones.

Here’s a crisp comparison between the two favourites to help you decide which one to choose when you are planning your next meal:

For those looking for a high intake of protein, chicken is the right option. Intake of high amount of protein helps in maintaining bone mineral density. In every 100g of chicken, there is 31g of protein and in every 100g of paneer, 20g of protein is present.

Chicken is a major source of vitamin B12, iron, phosphorus and niacin (a vitamin which helps keep your nervous and digestive system healthy). Paneer is a source of calcium which is important for healthy bones and teeth. It is also useful in blood clotting and helps muscles to contract and regulates heart rhythms.

Chicken is the best option for consuming fewer calories. 100g of chicken has 165 calories whereas 100g of paneer contains 265-320 calories.

It is advisable to choose antibiotic-free chicken when purchasing raw chicken. In paneer, it is a good option to choose both low-fat and malai paneer. Those planning to lose weight should opt for low-fat paneer.

Chicken is more easily digestible in comparison to paneer and hence, is a preferred option for individuals with digestive issues. Since paneer is a dairy product, it may not be tolerated by individuals with dairy sensitivities or lactose intolerance.

Both chicken and paneer are great for protein requirements. However, for those cutting down on fat, chicken is a good option.

The icy moon of planet Jupiter, Europa, has been producing 1,000 tonnes of oxygen every 24 hours which is sufficient to keep one million humans breathing, as per the data collected by the Juno spacecraft, which is orbiting the planet.

The new findings, however, have proven that in reality Europa produces less amount of oxygen than was previously believed.

The new study was published in Nature Astronomy with the use of data collected by Juno's Jovian Auroral Distributions Experiment (JADE) instrument which measures the amount of hydrogen that has out gassed the surface of the icy moon.

All about the lunar version of Skynet The lunar version of China's Skynet will include a large number of high-performance security cameras that operate in infrared zones or visible light. These cameras, which generally weigh only 100 grammes (3½ oz) each, will be fitted with AI-driven chips “capable of identifying, locating, tracking and aiming at suspicious targets independently”, as per the paper. It said that if “abnormalities” get detected in the system, it will “promptly generate alarm signals and initiate appropriate response measures”. The paper did not mention what kind of measures will be adopted. Watch: China raises defence spending by 7.1 percent, to improve childbirth policies The cameras, in batches, will land on the moon and will get automatically connected with each other to ensure seamless coverage of the station area, as per the paper. The proposed lunar research station, which has a radius of more than 6km (3.7 miles), is a large complex and will house a communication hub, power station, command centre, scientific facilities and a group of robots. The station will have its own satellites for navigation, remote sensing and communication. (With inputs from agencies)

Irani further took a dig at Rahul Gandhi saying that if she asked him directly for the debate, he would never come. The minister said that Gandhi would not even survive in front of BJP's ordinary workers in such a debate. "I guarantee that even if an ordinary worker of Yuva Morcha starts speaking in front of Rahul Gandhi, he will lose the strength to speak," she said. Irani's comments came days after Lalu Yadav's comments questioning the Hindu credentials of PM Modi and mocking him for not having a family stirred a controversy. Watch: India: PM Modi chairs BJP meet to finalise first list of Lok Sabha candidates “These days he (PM) is talking about dynastic politics. You (PM Modi) don’t have a family... You are not even a Hindu. When one’s mother dies, every Hindu, as per tradition, shaves his beard and head. Why did you not shave? You only spread hatred in society,” said Yadav, at the party’s “Jan Vishwas Maha Rally” in Patna on Sunday (Mar 3). On Monday (Mar 4), PM Modi attacked the INDIA alliance and said that every poor person in the country is his family member and that he is a family member of those who have no family. After this, BJP leaders like Amit Shah, JP Nadda, Smriti Irani, and Anurag Thakur, in support of PM Modi, added “Modi ka parivar” (Modi’s family) to their names on social media platforms.
