<p>This discovery more than doubles the known cases of Tidal Disruption Events (TDEs) in the&nbsp;universe and throws light on the broader occurrence of these dramatic phenomena.</p>

<p>"People were coming up with very exotic solutions to these puzzles, and now we’ve come to the point where we can resolve all of them," a team member and assistant professor of physics at MIT&nbsp;Erin Kara said.&nbsp;</p>

<p>TDEs occur when stars venture too close to black holes, experiencing extreme gravitational forces that lead to "spaghettification," a process where the star is stretched vertically and squashed horizontally.</p>

<p>The MIT team's quest began after they discovered the closest TDE to Earth ever observed, witnessed as a flare from the galaxy NGC 7392, located 137 million light-years away.</p>

<p>Utilising infrared light and an algorithm analysing patterns in data from NASA's Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (NEOWISE), they identified transient bursts of radiation, leading to the discovery of 18 legitimate TDE signals.</p>

Mumbai spy pigeon released after eight months in custody. Here's why it was held

<p>Amidst a lot of political drama, Champai Soren is set to become the new chief minister of the Indian state of Jharkhand, after Hemant Soren resigned from the post&nbsp;and was arrested by enforcement directorate officials.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Soren had been caught in controversy as the Enforcement Directorate (ED) had been actively investigating him in connection with a money laundering case linked to an alleged land scam.</p>

<p>Jharkhand Minister Banna Gupta reportedly said, "We have chosen Champai Soren as the leader of the Legislative Party. We came to the Raj Bhawan to request the Governor for the oath ceremony."</p>

<p>Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) Minister Mahua Maji confirmed that Soren is in ED custody.</p>

<p>"The CM has gone to the Governor with the ED team to submit his resignation... Champai Soren will be the new Chief Minister... We have enough numbers," she added.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to the latest updates, ED officials were seen departing from JMM leader Hemant Soren's residence, in a breakthrough development after a seven-hour-long presence at his Ranchi home.</p>

<p>In the second step, snow leopard abundance was estimated through camera traps in identified stratified regions.</p>

<p>Throughout the SPAI exercise, a comprehensive effort was made, including surveying 13,450 km of trails for recording snow leopard signs and deploying camera traps at 1,971 locations for 180,000 trap nights.</p>
