Blinken on holding a meeting with Papua New Guinea (PNG) Prime Minister James Marape said,&nbsp;"New Zealand is an important partner in the Pacific and around the world. &nbsp;U.S.-NZ partnership is key to promoting peace, security, and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific region."</p>

<p>PNG in a statement on Saturday termed the defence pact as an opportunity to boost the islands' infrastructure as well as national defense.&nbsp;“Papua New Guinea does not have enemies but it pays to be prepared. Territorial dispute is (imminent), as in the case of Ukraine-Russia,” the statement said.</p>

<p>“This agreement is not about geopolitics but rather recognizes the country’s need to build its defence capabilities because border disputes are inevitable in the future,” it said. It is interesting to note that the statement said DCA does not stop Papua New Guinea from working with other nations including China.</p>

<p>India's law enforcement agency Enforcement Directorate in April registered a case against BBC's India news broadcaster in connection to the foreign exchange violations allegations. The case was filed under the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA).&nbsp;</p>

<p>India's Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) in a release noted that BBC group entities' income and profits which were disclosed are "not commensurate" with respect to its operations' scale.&nbsp;"The survey operations also revealed that services of seconded employees have been utilised for which reimbursement has been made by the Indian entity to the foreign entity concerned," it added.&nbsp;</p>

<p>India's Income Tax Department carried out tax surveys at BBC offices in Delhi and Mumbai in the month of February. The IT department had reportedly "gathered several evidence" which suggest that "tax has not been paid on certain remittances" which have not been disclosed as income in India by the foreign entities of the group.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The BBC raids came after the UK broadcaster on 17 January released a documentary on the 2002 Gujarat riots under the title ‘India: The Modi Question’. The release of the documentary drew sharp reaction from the Indian government who opposed it and ordered curbs on its release on various social media platforms.&nbsp;</p>

<p>After 12 weeks of usage, fezolinetant decreased the incidence of hot flushes in women with moderate or severe symptoms by around 60 per cent, according to a major clinical trial that was published in March, compared to a 45 per cent&nbsp;reduction in those who got a placebo. Women also reported that the medication increased the quality of their sleep and lessened the severity of their hot flashes.</p>

<p>“What’s really amazing about these drugs is how quickly they work and how big an effect they have,” said Prof Richard Anderson, a co-director of the Centre for Reproductive Health at the University of Edinburgh.</p>

<p>“Typically, estrogen takes several weeks to have an effect. With these, women are reporting effects from the first tablet.”</p>

<p>Hot flashes disrupt everyday life in about 70 per cent&nbsp;of menopausal women and are described as "near intolerable" by 10 to 20 per cent&nbsp;of them.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Nearly two&nbsp;million women in England received at least one HRT prescription each year, however, these treatments are not recommended for anyone with untreated high blood pressure, a history of blood clots, breast or ovarian cancer, or blood clots.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Rance's finding led to a study at Imperial College London, directed by Dhillo, which showed that a substance related to fezolinetant was particularly successful at preventing hot flashes in females.</p>

<p>“From our grant being awarded by NIHR [the National Institute for Health and Care Research] and MRC [the Medical Research Council], within two years we could show it had a 73 per cent&nbsp;reduction in hot flashes – that wouldn’t have happened without taxpayers’ funding of medical research,” Dhillo said adding, "Since doing our studies, we’ve had women all over the world writing to us saying: ‘How can I get this drug?’”</p>

<p>“There’s been this attitude that obesity kills, heart disease kills, diabetes kills, women’s health doesn’t kill. We can’t be in Western society and say 51 per cent&nbsp;of the population’s problems – if they don’t kill them immediately – aren’t important," he added.&nbsp;</p>

New brain-based medicine fezolinetant to cure hot flashes during menopause

<p>About 300 km from Spain's capital Madrid, a F/A-18 Hornet fighter jet crashed and burst into flames at the Zaragoza air station. He apparently last spoke to base camp staff at a height of about 8,500 metres. Bharath stated in the appeal that the family had contacted the relevant governments.</p>

<p>"This matter needs to be brought to their attention on an urgent basis. We need a special rescue team that is trained to operate in such risky terrain as well as to ensure that this whole rescue operation is not hindered by diplomatic paperwork," Channel News Asia quoted Bharath as saying.</p>

<p>Pakistan'S former prime minister and Pakistan-Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan honoured the courageous women fighting for what he called "real freedom" in a video he shared on his social media handle on Friday but is now facing wrath as a fact-checking report suggests that the images were apparently fake and AI-generated.</p>

<p>The video includes images and footage that show the protests that broke out between PTI supporters and police officers when the former premier was taken into custody earlier this month in connection with the Al-Qadir Trust issue.</p>

<p>The video, titled "Sinf-e-Ahan," ends with a picture of a lady bravely confronting riot police. "The way Pakistani women stood up for Haqeeqi Azadi, they will be remembered and become part of our democratic history. Also what will never be forgotten is the brutality of our security forces and the shameless way they went out of their way to abuse, hurt and humiliate our women," Khan captioned the video in his tweet where he added, "Hundreds were languishing in jail in terrible conditions. This too won’t be forgotten."</p>

El Salvador President Nayib Bukele said the National Civil Police and the Attorney General's Office would conduct a "thorough investigation" into the turn of events that led to the stampede at the stadium.<br />

<p>A Chinese woman has been sued by a restaurant for $6,500 (Rs 5.3 lakh) as compensation for stashing her leftover food in her handbag and for wasting food by overordering, as per a report by the South China Morning Post.&nbsp;The woman visited the restaurant five times over the course of two weeks in August 2022 in the Guizhou region of southwest China, according to the restaurant manager who reviewed CCTV footage.&nbsp;</p>

<p>She covertly put leftovers into plastic bags, which she cunningly stashed in her handbag, after ordering more food than she could reasonably consume. The management asserts that this was not an isolated incidence because the woman had been frequenting the eatery regularly since March 2021.</p>

<p>Chen, the restaurant owner, claims that the woman also exclusively ordered pricey meals including salmon, goose liver, and sweet prawns.</p>

<p>On&nbsp;one bill, the woman paid for 140 servings of meat and dessert, as well as 45 servings of three sweet shrimps for 48 yuan (about Rs. 567) apiece and 20 servings of three salmon sashimi for 38 yuan (roughly Rs. 449 each).</p>

<p>However, the restaurant owner sued her and demanded compensation of about 45,000 yuan (Rs 5.31 lakh) for the five instances in which she overindulged.</p>
