The scientists expressed surprise upon finding a large number of climate-changing feedback loops during the study. “To the best of our knowledge, this is the most extensive list available of climate feedback loops, and not all of them are fully considered in climate models," said Christopher Wolf, one of the lead authors of the study. What are climate change feedback loops? Succinctly put, feedback loops are the climate's equivalent of a vicious cycle where a change in one metric accelerates or decelerates the warming trend of the planet. An example of the phenomenon can be the melting of ice caps. As the world gets hotter, ice melts, exposing the darker-coloured land or water underneath. The dark surface absorbs more light, which in turn contributes to warming and the ice melts at a much more rapid pace. The melting of glacial ice then contributes to overflooding of glacial lakes which leads to flooding in places where the human population lives. The burning of dry vegetation introduces poisonous gases in the atmosphere, including carbon dioxide which accelerates the greenhouse effect. Closer to home, the use of air-conditioners is the perfect example of a climate feedback loop. People use ACs to cool their homes but they release greenhouse gases. As the planet heats up due to the release of these gases, we increase the intensity of AC use, thereby heating the planet even more. In what comes as another miracle story, a 45-year-old man has been rescued from deep under the debris, nearly 278 hours or 12 days after two deadly earthquakes shook Turkey and Syria.&nbsp;The man, identified as&nbsp;Hakan Yasinoglu was found in Hatay, a southern province near the Syrian border badly affected by the earthquake.&nbsp;

Yasinoglu was carried out on a stretcher with an IV drip attached to him, covered in a golden thermal jacket. It is a miracle that he survived for as long as he did as it becomes freezing at night and staying under the weight of debris could easily have put him into a state of shock.&nbsp;

Images and videos of&nbsp;Yasinoglu's rescue have gone viral on social media platforms with netizens hailing the rescue workers as well as the man for braving it out, despite the harsh conditions.&nbsp;

Similarly, a young girl, trapped in the ruins for 178 hours or seven-and-a-half days was also rescued by the workers on the ground.&nbsp;Video footage of her rescue showed&nbsp;people cheering 'God is Great' as she was lifted out of the debris.

Nearly a fortnight ago, Turkey and Syria were rocked by one of the most powerful earthquakes in recent memory that has already taken the lives of over 44,000.

Buildings were flattened across the landscape as thousands died in the dead of the night. The rescue and&nbsp;rehabilitation has been going non-stop but given the scale of the destruction, it could take months before a clear picture regarding the final death toll emerges.&nbsp;

Currently, the Glazers family owns Manchester United since 2005 but the fans have been adamant to force them out, primarily for not doing enough for the club. Succumbing to the pressure, the American group in November last year shared their interest in seeking outside investment in the club. The Glazers peg the club at $7.2 billion but the industry experts, as per ESPN, believe that the realistic price tag is around $5.4 billion. Notably, United is not the only club in the 'Big-six' that might be sold in the upcoming months. Rumours have been swirling around the potential sale of United's arch-rival Liverpool to Qatar-based businesses too. The Turkish relief material was delivered to Sindh, a southwestern region of Pakistan which was one of the worst-hit areas due to the flood, according to Pakistani media reports. It appears, the same package was repurposed, repackaged and delivered to Ankara. The consulate general has reportedly raised the matter in front of Pakistan's External Affairs Ministry after not being overly impressed. Turkey and Syria were ravaged by a powerful 7.8 magnitude earthquake nearly a fortnight ago. The deadly earthquake was followed by nearly same-magnitude aftershocks that exacerbated the damage before the people had managed to seek protection. As of the last reports, over 44,000 have died across the two countries. The rescue and rehabilitation process is currently underway and could take several weeks to conclude.
