<p>Peter Kornbluh, senior analyst at the US' National Security Archive, reportedly highlighted Kissinger's disregard for human rights, noting that he embraced repressive regimes as strategic pawns in the global chessboard of the Cold War.</p>

<p>A pregnant woman, her husband and daughter&nbsp;were hit by a 15-foot (4.5-metre) concrete wall that collapsed in their neighbourhood due to the shaking of the ground.</p>

<p>As they were trying to flee their house in Tagum City, the wall collapsed on them, city's disaster mitigation chief Shieldon Isidoro told The Associated Press, adding that her husband and daughter are getting treated for their injuries.</p>

<p>Two children and their parents in the neighbourhood, however, escaped after they jumped from the second-floor window in panic, said Isidoro, who was at his home when the ground started to shake.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In Bislig City&nbsp;of Surigao del Sur province, a 30-year-old man died&nbsp;when a wall in&nbsp;his house collapsed on top of him, said local disaster official Pacifica Pedraverde.</p>

<p>“Initially the swaying was weak. Then it quickly became stronger and I could hardly stand. My perfume bottles fell off the table, pictures on my wall swung and I heard people screaming outside: 'Get out, get out, earthquake, earthquake!'” Isidoro was quoted as saying.</p>

<h2><strong>No major infra damage&nbsp;so far&nbsp;</strong></h2>

<p>A disaster official for Bilsig City told AFP that there have been no reports of major damage to buildings or infrastructure so far, but some roads in the city in the Surigao Del Sur province cracked during the quake and the aftershocks.</p>

Addressing a press conference, French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin said the police quickly arrested the attacker, a 26-year-old French national, using a Taser stun gun.</p>

<p>The attack happened at around 19.00 GMT when the man attacked a tourist couple with a knife on the Quai de Grenelle, mortally wounding a German national.</p>

<p>The man was then chased by the police and attacked two other people with a hammer before he was arrested.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The suspect had shouted out "Allahu Akbar" (God is greatest) and told police he was upset because "so many Muslims are dying in Afghanistan and Palestine" and was also upset about the Gaza situation, Interior Minister Darmanin said.</p>

<p>He added that the 26-year-old had been sentenced to four years in prison in 2016 for planning another attack was on the French security services' watch list, and was also known for having psychiatric disorders.</p>

<p>The anti-terrorism prosecutor's office said it was in charge of the investigation. French President Emmanuel Macron condoled the death of the German national, and thanked security forces&nbsp;for their quick arrest of the attacker and said that justice should be served in the name of the citizens.</p>

Korniyenko said that although lawmakers were permitted to travel to attend party political events, he had received a letter because of which he had to cancel the permission granted for Poroshenko's trip. "We determine safe areas (in Gaza) in coordination with international agencies and with our American friends, we determine safe areas to where the population knows it can evacuate," Prime Minister Netanyahu told reporters.</p>

<p>"We did it in the north and we will do it elsewhere and this is important because we have no desire to harm the population. We have a desire to avoid harming the population. We have a very strong desire to hurt Hamas," he added.</p>
