<p>National Security Council spokesman John Kirby described Netanyahu’s allegations that the US is “withholding weapons and ammunitions to Israel” from his country in recent months as “vexing” and “deeply disappointing.”</p>

<p>“Those comments were deeply disappointing and certainly vexing to us, given the amount of support that we have and will continue to provide,” Kirby told journalists.</p>

<p>He added, “No other country is doing more to help Israel defend itself against the threat by Hamas and, quite frankly, other threats that they’re facing in the region.”&nbsp;</p>

<p>A report by Axios citing two US officials said the White House cancelled a high-level US-Israel meeting on Iran that was scheduled for Thursday after the Israeli PM’s remarks.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The US President Joe Biden’s top advisers were reportedly enraged and baffled by the video – a message that was delivered to Netanyahu hours after the clip was published – and called off the meeting.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“This decision makes it clear that there are consequences for pulling such stunts,” the American official told Axios.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The report citing an Israeli official said that the “Americans are fuming. Bibi’s video made a lot of damage.”&nbsp;</p>

<p>White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, on Wednesday (Jun 19) said only one weapons shipment had been paused since the beginning of the war and that they have sent billions of dollars worth of weapons to Israel so far.&nbsp;</p>

<p>On Thursday, Netanyahu appeared to double down on his remarks and said that he is “prepared to suffer personal attacks provided that Israel receives the ammunition from the US that it needs in the war for its existence.”</p>

<p>However, this is not the first time that Biden and Netanyahu have gotten into a spat amid the ongoing war.</p>

<p>Reuters reported that in March, Senator Risch and&nbsp;Representative Michael McCaul (the&nbsp;Republican chairman of the House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee) said&nbsp;they had put "holds" on funds to&nbsp;Haiti&nbsp;because they needed "a lot more details" before approving them.</p>

<p>The State Department said at the time it was engaging with Congress to get approval for the funds where intensifying gang violence&nbsp;cut off food supplies and forced hundreds of thousands of people from their homes.</p>

<p>Leaders of the foreign relations committees have approval power over&nbsp;money, but the administration can override their holds if it decides the&nbsp;situation is extreme enough to warrant going ahead.</p>

<p>Gang violence in Haiti surged in late February as former prime minister Ariel Henry left the Caribbean nation to seek to speed up a promised Kenyan-led deployment of security forces to help national police fight gangs.</p>

<p>As gangs attacked the national palace and&nbsp;thousands&nbsp; broke from prison, Henry was unable to return and pressured to resign. Three months later, a new government was formed but the Kenyan-led deployment has yet to land.</p>

<p>Raimondo told reporters that the new restrictions (on inbound sales) would be&nbsp;coupled with another move to add three units of the company to a trade restriction list. The restrictions, which would also bar&nbsp;downloads of software updates, resales, and licensing of the product will be imposed from September 29.</p>

<p>New US&nbsp;business for&nbsp;Kaspersky&nbsp;would be blocked 30 days after the restrictions are announced.&nbsp;Sales of white-labelled products — that integrate&nbsp;Kaspersky&nbsp;into software sold under a different brand name — will also be barred, the aforementioned source told Reuters.</p>

<p>The Commerce Department would notify companies before taking enforcement action against them, the source added.</p>

<p>However, it wasn't clear if Trump meant all foreigners, including those who came illegally or stayed after their visas expired, or just students on visas.</p>

<p>However, the Trump campaign elaborated on Trump's statement, saying only after "the most aggressive vetting process in US history," would "the most skilled graduates who can make significant contributions to America" be able to stay.</p>

<h2><strong>What did the WHO say?</strong></h2>

<p>The United Nations health agency noted that they have observed an increased demand for these medicines as well as reports on falsification and that fake medicines could pose a danger to health.</p>

<p>The WHO, in its alert, said they found three falsified batches of the product in Brazil and the United Kingdom’s Northern Ireland in October 2023, and the United States in December last year.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Therefore, the UN health agency urged people to buy the drug only through reliable sources, such as doctors, instead of random websites online or on social media.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“WHO advises healthcare professionals, regulatory authorities and the public be aware of these falsified batches of medicines,” said Dr Yukiko Nakatani, WHO assistant director-general for essential medicines and health products, in a statement.&nbsp;</p>

<p>It added, “We call on stakeholders to stop any usage of suspicious medicines and report to relevant authorities”.</p>

<p>The fake drugs claim to contain the active ingredient – semaglutide – found in Novo Nordisk’s diabetes drug Ozempic, which helps people with type 2 diabetes control the amount of sugar in their blood.</p>

<p>The injection, which is supposed to be taken weekly, signals the brain that we’re full. Therefore, the drug also helps people lose weight by suppressing their urge to eat.</p>

<p>The UN health agency also warned that the fake drugs could be harmful if they do not have the necessary raw components and can lead to unmanaged blood glucose levels or weight.&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>‘Deeply concerned’</strong></h2>

<p>American drug giant Eli Lilly published an open letter saying it was “deeply concerned” about people selling fake medicines or compounded versions of tirzepatide, an active ingredient in its Mounjaro and other GLP-1 drugs that promote weight loss.&nbsp;</p>
