The Indian Coast Guard has launched a massive search operation after one of its helicopters made an emergency landing in the Arabian Sea Monday night (Sep 2). Four aircrews, including two pilots, were on board the helicopter, deployed on a rescue operation.

Napa cabbage thrives in colder climates and is grown in mountainous regions with temperatures below 25 degrees Celsius during the summer months. The rise of warmth in the weather conditions makes it unsuitable to grow this crop, which could lead to South Korea not being able to grow napa cabbage altogether one day due to rising heat.

"We hope these predictions don’t come to pass," plant pathologist and virologist Lee Young-gyu said.

The hotter climate has already started showing signs for farmers and kimchi makers, both commercially and domestically.&nbsp;

The heart of the cabbage "goes bad, and the root becomes mushy," said Lee Ha-yeon, who holds the title of Kimchi Master from the Agriculture Ministry, on the effect of rising temperatures on the crop.&nbsp;

Last week's negotiations, as per&nbsp;reports, were primarily focused on which hostages would be freed in exchange for specific Palestinian prisoners held in Israel. Biden made the remarks to reporters on Monday (Sep 2) while heading into the Situation Room to convene a meeting with Vice President Kamala Harris.&nbsp;

Biden said the two sides were "very close" to securing a deal,&nbsp;however, upon being pressed by reporters to whether Netanyahu was doing enough to secure a deal, Biden responded:&nbsp; “No.”

This is not the first instance when Biden has called out Netanyahu for stalling the deal. During a phone call earlier this month, Biden told Netanyahu to&nbsp;"stop bullshi**ing" him. At the end of the conversation, Biden also&nbsp;reportedly said, “Don’t take the president for granted."

The truce and hostage talks have been ongoing for months but no breakthrough has been made so far. US,&nbsp;alongside Qatar and Egypt, has been attempting to broker the deal but Netanyahu has stuck with his demands regarding the Philadelphi Corridor -- a narrow 14.5-km-long stretch of land along Gaza's southern border with Egypt.&nbsp;

Beijing is of the view that Taiwan had been part of China since ancient times but was taken away by Japan during the "century of humiliation" - a period between 1839 and 1949 when China was subjected to routine defeats and subjugation.&nbsp;

“If it is for the sake of territorial integrity, why doesn’t it take back the lands occupied by Russia that were signed over in the treaty of Aigun? Russia is now at its weakest, right?,” said Lai during an interview.&nbsp;

“You can ask Russia (for the land back) but you don’t. So it’s obvious they don’t want to invade Taiwan for territorial reasons,” Lai said.

Lai was referring to the 1858 treaty in which&nbsp;Russia annexed about one million sq km of Chinese territory, including Haishengwei – today known as Vladivostok.

Lai, who was elected president in January, said that Beijing's true plans for 'invading' Taiwan were geopolitical as Jinping wants to change the world order in his favour.&nbsp;

Chinese officials have repeatedly attended economic forums in the far-east city of Vladivostok and there have been no major claims from the Politburo to annex the region.&nbsp;

However, earlier this year, nationalist social media users&nbsp;on Weibo, an X-like Chinese social media platform, demanded that Russia return Vladivostok to China. Two people have died in Japan's Yokohama city after a teenage girl jumped off a building and landed on a pedestrian below. The incident took place in the crowded shopping centre of the city on Saturday (Aug 31).&nbsp;

The 17-year-old girl jumped off the building, while the 32-year-old woman below was out with her friends in the evening. The two were taken to the hospital around 18:00 local time (09:00 GMT), where the girl died an hour later.

The woman also succumbed to her injuries soon after, as it remains unclear why the girl committed suicide.&nbsp;

It is not the first time such a tragic incident has transpired in Japan. In 2020, a 17-year-old boy jumped from the roof for a shopping centre and killed a 19-year-old girl student in a busy district of Osaka.&nbsp;

The teenage boy was&nbsp;posthumously charged with manslaughter as the family owed compensation to the victim's family. However, the charges were dropped later.&nbsp;
