Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says Israel’s military campaign against Iran could help bring about regime change in Tehran.
Speaking during a press conference, Netanyahu said Israeli and U.S. strikes had delivered major blows to Iran’s military infrastructure, including the Revolutionary Guards and the Basij paramilitary forces. He added that weakening the regime could create conditions for Iranians to challenge their leadership.
Netanyahu also attacked Iran’s new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, calling him a “puppet of the Revolutionary Guards” and urging the Iranian people to seek a new path of freedom.
His remarks come as the conflict between Israel, Iran and allied groups continues to escalate across the Middle East.
