Iran has confirmed the death of its security chief Ali Larijani, according to state media reports. The Supreme National Security Council said Larijani was killed in an attack, confirming earlier claims by Israel that he had been targeted in airstrikes.
In a statement, the council said Larijani died in service of Iran and the Islamic Revolution. His death marks a significant development amid ongoing tensions and escalating strikes targeting senior Iranian leadership.
