Australia and Japan have ruled out sending naval ships to the Strait of Hormuz, despite rising tensions in the region. Australian Transport Minister Catherine King confirmed that Canberra will not deploy warships to the Gulf, while Tokyo has also stepped back from joining a potential maritime mission. The decisions come as countries across the Asia-Pacific warn that instability in the Hormuz corridor could disrupt global energy supplies and trade routes.
