With the heightened global tensions, Chinese President Xi Jinping met briefly with American Vice President Kamala Harris on the sidelines of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation Summit in Poland. The top officials of the two biggest superpowers in the world called for open communications to responsibly manage the competition between their countries.
