The much-anticipated meeting between Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House has concluded. Zelensky congratulated Trump on brokering the Gaza ceasefire and urged him to approve long-range Tomahawk missiles for Ukraine, even offering drone production support in return. But Trump, after a recent call with Vladimir Putin, warned that sending Tomahawks could escalate the war with Russia and said the U.S. “needs them too.” Trump and Putin are expected to meet soon in Budapest, while their advisers prepare for follow-up talks.
