Thai King declares himself royal patron of Buddhism
The new Thai King wrapped up the first day of his coronation by declaring his faith and willingness to be Buddhism's royal patron. King Maha Vajiralongkorn was carried on an ornately decorated palanquin to the Temple of the Emerald Buddha in the Grand Palace.
