PM Shehbaz: Will hand over govt to caretaker set-up in August

Ending rumours that his administration was looking to extend its term and bringing the country one step closer to general elections, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif declared that he will transfer power to a caretaker government in August. In a speech to the country that was broadcast on Thursday, he added, "We will turn the responsibility over to the caretaker government in August 2023."
