India and Japan have launched the 7th edition of their joint military exercise ‘Dharma Guardian 2026’ in Chaubatia in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. The exercise aims to strengthen defence cooperation and improve interoperability between the armies of the two countries.
‘Dharma Guardian’ is a bilateral military drill conducted between the Indian Army and the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force. The exercise focuses on joint tactical operations, counter-terror training and coordination between the two forces.
