EU leaders are convening an emergency summit to counter President Trump's tariff threats over Greenland, with the bloc mulling its "trade bazooka"-the Anti-Coercion Instrument (ACI)-as a retaliatory measure against duties targeting eight nations including Denmark, UK, Germany, and others. Tariffs of 10% on imports from these countries start February 1, rising to 25% by June 1 unless a U.S.-Greenland deal is reached.
