EU Clears Travel Restrictions on Assam; What’s Next?

The European Union has changed its mind on Indian state of Assam, after 47 years. Brussels' withdrawal of its negative travel advisory, in force since 1979, clears all 27 member states to visit nearly the entire state. The one carve-out: Charaideo, Tinsukia and Sivasagar remain flagged, as those three districts are still under the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act.
