Ecuador faces shortage of coffins, locals resort to cardboard boxes
The rapid spread of COVID-19 in Guayaquil, the capital of Ecuador's Guayas province, has collapsed the region's health system. To deal with the increased number of deaths, temporary morgues were installed outside a hospital in Guayaquil, as the government distributes cardboard coffins.
