EasyJet backs Castlelake's €6.1 billion takeover offer
British budget airline EasyJet has agreed in principle to a revised takeover offer from U.S. investment firm Castlelake, valuing the carrier at £5.5 billion ($7.34 billion). The latest bid offers shareholders £6.90 per share, a 73% premium over easyJet's May 29 closing price. The proposed deal could reshape Europe's aviation sector, though a final binding agreement has yet to be signed.
