In Gaza, football has become a symbol of resilience as survivors—many of them amputees—form teams and compete despite unimaginable hardship. Supported by the ICRC, Gaza launched its first amputee football program, giving players community, purpose, and a path to healing. In 2021, Palestine introduced its first-ever amputee national team, with hopes of reaching the Amputee Football World Cup. This is their inspiring journey.
