Africa: 346 million facing food insecurity; hunger crisis surge due to conflict, climate

Conflict and climate change compounded with rising fuel and food prices have now pushed about a quarter of Africans towards hunger. The international committee of the Red Cross has warned that an estimated 346 million people are affected by food insecurity in the continent.
