<p>Eight FIRs were filed by the Delhi Police in connection with bomb threats and the accounts from which these messages were circulated were later suspended by the authorities.&nbsp;</p>

<p>According to the officer, three accounts on 'X' - @adamlanza111, @psychotichuman and @schizobomer777 - were found sharing these threat messages.</p>

<p>"As of now, we have registered eight separate cases in response to threats to more than 90 domestic or international flights operating from Delhi," said a Delhi Police official, while speaking to news agency PTI.</p>

<p>Brazil's Supreme Court ordered reinstating X after Elon Musk agreed to its conditions, including deleting some user accounts and appointing a local legal representative for the platform.</p>

<p>The company has met “all the requirements necessary for the immediate return of activities” in Brazil, as Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes wrote in an order issued on Tuesday. “I decree the end of the suspension.”</p>

<p>US billionaire Elon Musk’s social media platform X was once again blocked in Brazil on Thursday (Sep 19), within 24 hours of its temporary come-back. The app became available to some users in the South American country on Wednesday following an update to its communications network.</p>

<p>However, Brazilian Supreme Court was quick to intervene, saying the company had "unlawfully, persistently and intentionally" disregarded judicial rulings and would face a daily fine exceeding $900,000 for non-compliance.</p>

<p>Earlier, X itself acknowledged that its service was "inadvertent and temporary."</p>

<p>Access to the platform suddenly reopened overnight for many in Latin America's most populous nation after a Brazilian Supreme Court judge ordered it blocked last month in a spat with Musk. Waking up to find X suddenly working again on their phones, Brazilian users chattered away Wednesday in speculation over whether or not the ruling had been overturned.</p>

<p>The Brazilian Association of Internet and Telecommunications Providers, or ABRINT, explained that in its update, X had changed its structure to make use of IP addresses associated with Cloudflare, a cyber security company in San Francisco. This internet-infrastructure provider works with millions of websites, helping many route their traffic.</p>

<p>Structural changes in X "make blocking the app much more complicated," the ABRINT group said in a statement. The organisation said that under the old system of X, there were specific IP addresses on the platform, which internet companies could use to identify where data is coming from.</p>

<p>Many of the IP addresses currently being used by X “are shared with other legitimate services, such as banks and large internet platforms, making it impossible to block an IP without affecting other services,” ABRINT added.</p>

<p>X, formerly known as Twitter until Musk's 2022 acquisition, said the access restored for Brazilians was "inadvertent and temporary," resulting after the company changed network providers after its ban in the country.</p>

<p>“While we expect the platform to be inaccessible again in Brazil soon, we continue efforts to work with the Brazilian government to return very soon for the people of Brazil,” an X spokesperson said in a statement.</p>

<p>Cloudflare declined to comment. The Supreme Court didn't immediately respond to a request for comment, but local media said it asked Brazil's telecoms regulator, Anatel, to explain the unauthorised return of X.</p>

<p>Anatel said in a statement that it “continues to monitor the blocking order. The surveillance results are reported directly to the Supreme Court.”</p>

<p>The law would require social media platforms to implement rules to limit harmful false information. If a platform doesn’t comply, a regulator would step in, set its own standards, and impose fines for failure to meet them. Responding to a post on X about the proposed law, Musk wrote just one word: "Fascists."</p>

<p>A spokesperson for Communications Minister Michelle Rowland emphasised that companies operating in Australia are required to follow Australian laws. "This bill improves the transparency and accountability of platforms for users and the Australian people," Rowland told Reuters.</p>

<p>Users of&nbsp;social media platform X experienced brief outages in the United States around 10:28 am ET on Saturday (Sep 7) that lasted less than an hour.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Downdetector.com reported over 8,000 outage reports at the peak of the disruption. It also said at least 80 per cent of X users in the US reported issues.</p>

<p>Barry Stanton’s X account used to frequently share derogatory cartoons and posts depicting Indians in a negative light. His posts aren’t just limited to Indians but also include hateful and abusive posts against Jews and Africans.</p>

<p>After the account started sharing a series of absolutely racist posts against Indians with zero substance, an online outrage by Indians led to the suspension of the account.&nbsp;</p>

<p>X suspended the account of anonymous user Barry Stanton with nearly 200,000 followers. The user impersonated himself to be a UK-based actor.&nbsp;</p>

Stanton’s account was reported to authorities by several Indian users, including Ashwini Vaishnaw, the Minister of Information and Broadcasting, and the Indian High Commission in the United Kingdom.</p>

<p>According to a 2017 report by British news website The New Statesman, the pictures on Stanton’s account were stolen from another man, a pensioner from Worcestershire.</p>

<p>Storyful’s UK Editor Kevin Donnellan followed @BarryStanton64 in an attempt to find out who he was. He then located the original Facebook page where “Barry” posted his photos.</p>

<p>It is safe to conclude that Barry Stanton is merely a fake identity that an anonymous troll uses to disseminate anti-Indian content. However, the question here is not about the user, but about the platform that allows such racist posts to flourish in the name of "free speech."</p>

<p>This is not the first time that such anti-India posts have surfaced on X. Many critics and netizens have seen these accounts sharing more racist content against Indians since Elon Musk took over X in 2022.&nbsp;</p>
