<p>Hollywood superstar Will Smith’s upcoming action thriller 'Fast &amp; Loose'&nbsp;has been acquired by streamer Netflix.</p>

<p>Filmmaker David Leitch, known for movies such as 'Deadpool 2'&nbsp;and 'Hobbs &amp; Shaw', will direct the project from a script by Jon Hoeber and Erich Hoeber.</p>

<p>According to Deadline, Netflix recently won the worldwide rights to the action thriller after the project hit the market in February this year.</p>

<p>Will Smith, 52, will star in the movie as a man who wakes up in Tijuana, Mexico, with no memories.</p>

<p>As he pieces together his past, he learns he’s been living two lives, one as a crime kingpin and the other as an undercover CIA agent.</p>

<p>Leitch and Kelly McCormick will produce for 87North along with STXfilms and Smith through his Westbrook Studios. Jon Mone, Ryan Shimazaki and James Lassiter will also serve as producers.</p>

<p>Smith will next feature in Warner Bros’ biographical drama 'King Richard'. He is playing the role of Richard Williams, the father and coach of tennis players Venus and Serena Williams.</p>

<p>He will also star in the remake of the 1980s John Hughes classic 'Planes, Trains &amp; Automobiles'&nbsp;along with Kevin Hart.</p>

<p>On the topic of racism, when Favreau asked Will Smith about how his personal experiences with racism and discrimination, he said, "I've been called [n-word] &nbsp;to my face probably five or six times. And fortunately for my psyche, I've never been called [n-word] by a smart person. I grew up with the impression that racists and racism were stupid, and they were easy to get around. I just had to be smarter now while they were very dangerous. I had never looked into the eyes of a racist and saw anything that I perceived as intellect."</p>

<p>Will Smith continued that once he found a career in Hollywood, he started seeing systemic racism around him. "But at the core of it, I noticed a difference between ignorance and evil. Now they're twins, for sure, but ignorance, can be educated and evil is a much more difficult problem. I've always been encouraged that the process of education and understanding could alleviate some of the more dangerous and difficult aspects of racism that have unfortunately been embedded in the very fibers of our country."</p>

<p>On his thoughts on running for office, Will said, "I think for now I’ll let that office get cleaned up a little bit and then I'll consider that at some point down the line."</p>

<p>"I absolutely have an opinion, I’m optimistic, I’m hopeful, I believe in understanding between people and I believe in the possibility of harmony. I will certainly do my part, whether it remains artistic or, at some point, ventures into the political arena," he added.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The complaint registered states: “This case presents an unfortunate and tawdry situation: the cold and calculating misappropriation and interference with Plaintiffs’ intellectual property,” says the seven claim complaint from TW3 Entertainment and Power Move Multi Media.</p>

<p>The case has been filed against Will Smith’s loan out company and Warner Bros, among others.</p>

<p>According to the plaintiff’s claim, Will Smith and company bought the rights for Williams’ book for a mere $10,000 three years ago. However, these rights involved limited power of attorney for “purposes of dealing with film and media rights for his book.”&nbsp;</p>

<p>The film would have been directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green.</p>

<p>The film is a science-fiction thriller that is directed by Ang Lee. Will plays the role of Henry Brogen, an ageing assassin who is trying to avoid being killed by his younger clone. It’s hard to kill this clone as the guy knows what Will plans to do even before he does it. The younger clone is a younger version of Will that has been made possible with de-ageing VFX technology.&nbsp;</p>

<p>This is not the first film that the technology has been used in. The last we saw this in was ‘Captain Marvel’ where Samuel L Jackson, who is now 70 was made to look decades younger.</p>

<p>‘Gemini Man’ also stars Clive Owen, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and Benedict Wong. The highly anticipated feature, which has a release date of Oct. 11, 2019, is just one of many films Will’s involved in this year.&nbsp;</p>
