A senior White House official on Sunday denied reports from Tehran that an agreement had been reached with Iran for the release of four Americans detained there.

But British officials played down the report, with the foreign office saying discussions were "ongoing."

Zaghari-Ratcliffe's husband Richard Ratcliffe told AFP that they "haven't been given any private indication that an agreement is close."

Zaghari-Ratcliffe was initially detained while on holiday in Iran in 2016 when she was working as a project manager for the Thomson Reuters Foundation, the news agency and data firm's philanthropic wing.

Iranian supreme leader Ali Khamenei made no mention of any agreement in a speech Sunday.

Klain, the US chief of staff, was asked on CBS whether Iranian officials might have leaked the reports to increase political pressure on the Biden administration.

"No," he replied. "Again, we're working hard to bring these Americans home. When we get that done, we'll be delighted to announce that news."

The duelling reports came to a day after-parties to the Iran nuclear agreement adjourned the third round of negotiations in Vienna aimed at bringing the US back into the accord, and as Russian delegates expressed "cautious and growing optimism" for a solution.

The agreement, which curbs Iran's nuclear program in exchange for sanctions relief, has been on life support since then US President Donald Trump withdrew in 2018.

The remaining partners to the 2015 accord have been engaged in negotiations since early April to try to revive it.

Cities at high risk for violence will continue to get military assistance, with accompanying human rights guarantees, Duque said in a Saturday evening video.

In its "Special 301 Report" on the adequacy and effectiveness of US trading partners' protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights, US Trade Representative Katherine Tai said these countries will be the subject of intense bilateral engagement during the coming year.

"Over the past year, India has remained inconsistent in its progress on intellectual property (IP) protection and enforcement. While India's enforcement of IP in the online sphere has gradually improved, a lack of concrete benefits for innovators and creators persists, which continues to undermine their efforts. India remains one of the world's most challenging major economies with respect to protection and enforcement of IP," she said.

The office of the USTR reviewed more than 100 trading partners for this year's "Special 301 Report", and eight on Priority Watch List and 23 on the Watch List.

The 23 trading partners on the Watch List are Algeria, Barbados, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Egypt, Guatemala, Kuwait, Lebanon, Mexico, Pakistan, Paraguay, Peru, Romania, Thailand, Trinidad &amp; Tobago, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam.

In 2020, China published several draft IP-related legal and regulatory measures and finalised over a dozen measures.

China amended the patent Law, copyright and criminal laws in the past year. However, these steps toward reform require effective implementation and fall short of the full range of fundamental changes needed to improve the IP landscape in China, the USTR office said.

In India, the USTR said patent issues continue to be of particular concern as long-standing issues remain for innovative industries.

The US Centers for Disease Control (CDC) informed&nbsp;cruise&nbsp;companies on Wednesday of the requirements they would need to meet to begin sailing&nbsp;again.

At least 98 percent of the crew and 95 percent of passengers will need to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19, according to the letter obtained by AFP on Thursday.

"Ships&nbsp;may now bypass simulated voyages and move directly to open water sailing with passengers if a ship attests that 98 percent of its crew and 95 percent of its passengers are fully vaccinated," the CDC said.

Cruise&nbsp;lines were asked to submit their plans "as soon as possible to maintain the timeline of passenger voyages by mid-July."

The multi-billion dollar&nbsp;cruise&nbsp;industry employs thousands of people in Florida and is critical to a state that relies largely on tourism.

The three largest&nbsp;cruise&nbsp;lines in the world -- Norwegian, Carnival and Royal Caribbean -- run operations out of south Florida.

Norwegian announced on April 5 that it would require proof of vaccination for passengers and crew in the hope that the CDC would lift the sailing ban in&nbsp;July.&nbsp;

A Norwegian spokesman said the company "is encouraged by the ongoing constructive dialogue (with the CDC) that resulted in recent meaningful modifications to previously issued technical guidelines and the incorporation of vaccines."

Jonathan Fishman, a Royal Caribbean spokesman, said the company was encouraged "that we now see a pathway to a healthy and achievable return to service."

A Carnival spokesperson said the company is still reviewing the new CDC guidelines.

Cruise&nbsp;operations were suspended on March 14, 2020 when the CDC issued a "no&nbsp;sail&nbsp;order" to prevent the further spread of the coronavirus.

Several&nbsp;ships&nbsp;had already had deadly outbreaks on board.
