The campaign staffers also expressed their extreme irritation to the AP after Scott recently shifted staff and money from New Hampshire to Iowa in an effort to boost his standing in the leadoff caucus, only to completely reverse the move after they worked around the clock to make it happen.&nbsp;

Meanwhile,&nbsp;two major donors to his campaign told Reuters they would switch their support to&nbsp;former US&nbsp;Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley.

Scott is the second major Republican to drop out of the race after former VP Mike Pence also suspended his campaign two weeks ago.&nbsp;

At least two children and three others were injured after a shooting incident at a flea market in the US state of Texas, on Sunday (Nov 12) evening. One of the injured children later succumbed to their injuries, said the police.&nbsp;

The incident took place in Pearland which is around 24 kilometres (15 miles) south of Houston, Texas. The local police, in a post on X, said that they were responding to a call of shots fired at Cole’s Flea Market at 5:34 pm (local time).&nbsp;

Pearland Police Department spokesperson Chad Rogers told reporters that three adults and two children were found injured. Subsequently, the victims were taken to the nearby hospital where one of the juvenile victims later died from their injuries.&nbsp;

The shooting happened after an argument between two people who did not know each other, said Rogers, adding that the two people exchanged gunfire inside the market.&nbsp;

As per the plans, this will include the deportation of millions of individuals annually, including long-time residents of the United States.

In response to Trump's immigration plans, the Biden-Harris campaign released a statement condemning them as "extreme, racist, cruel policies" designed to instill fear and division.

Another measure from Trump would be to reinstate his ban on individuals from certain Muslim-majority countries entering the United States. The new policies would also include a refusal of asylum claims, the way it was ushered during COVID-19.&nbsp;

This time the asylum claims will be turned down based on the assertion that migrants also carry other infectious diseases.

"The United States will continue to take targeted actions to protect our and our allies' national security," she added ahead of the bilateral talks.

"But we are also committed to communicating clearly about these actions to prevent any misunderstandings or miscalculations," she added.

"And we welcome more clarity on China's thinking and actions."

<h2>'Mutual understanding'</h2>

In opening remarks, He told Yellen that Xi has had multiple meetings with US representatives visiting China, charting the course for bilateral relations.

"Maintaining frequent exchanges and interactions between China and the United States is of great significance to deepening our mutual understanding," he added.

Analysts expect few breakthroughs from this week's meetings between the finance chiefs.
