Both of them have been together for more than 16 years. The couple delayed their marriage to complete Wang’s adoption process. After this was done, the couple took the case to court so that Chen could be recognised as a parent.

Eye on China: Taiwan to spend extra USD 8.6 billion on defence

Beijing has imposed a fine of over $7,000 and also issued a warning to Japanese-owned 7-Eleven after it listed the island of Taiwan as a country and displayed maps and borders that China&nbsp;claimed are false. According to South China Morning Post, the government fined the company for “errors” including “wrongful act of assigning Taiwan province as an independent country."

The government further highlighted that the company did not mark borders correctly for islands in the South China Sea.&nbsp;

Japan and US draft joint military plan to protect Taiwan from China: Report

To strengthen its defence capabilities, Taiwan's army on Tuesday (December 21) conducted specialised training for its tank platoons at the Kengzikou training ground in Hsinchu, as reported by CNA.&nbsp;

As per the report, Taiwan's army battle tanks showed off their fighting capability at a combat firing exercise as two platoons of M-60 Patton and CM-11 Brave Tiger battle tanks open fire at invading forces in a mock attack.&nbsp;

Taiwan lives under the constant threat of invasion by China, which has increased military and diplomatic pressure in the past two years to assert its sovereignty claims. It also&nbsp;has vowed to seize it one day.&nbsp;
