<p>Popular Indian TV actress Rupali Ganguly joined the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) on Wednesday (May 1). Ganguly, who plays the lead in the hit primetime daily <em>Anupama</em>, addressed the press as she officially joined the BJP in New Delhi on Wednesday morning. Notably, India is in the middle of its general elections.<br />

It has, however, not gone down well with those involved with the Indian original ‘Sarabhai vs Sarabhai’.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A few days back, Aatish posted it on Facebook and slammed the Pakistani makers for bluntly copying. He asked fans not to view this show and give them any importance.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Now, Rupali Ganguly who played Monisha Sarabhai has slammed the Pakistani makers too for copying the show. &nbsp;In an interview, Rupali Ganguly said, "It’s disgusting the way they have copied it frame to frame. I know imitation is the best form of flattery, but what they have done is an insult. It’s such a bad copy with tacky looking characters, sets, dialogues, it’s all very sleazy."&nbsp;</p>

<p>When asked if the makers will take any legal action against it, she said, "We have made the topic official now. Let’s see if they pull it down or not. Else, we will move according to the need of the hour."&nbsp;</p>

<p>She added, "Now at least the makers need to realise that we need to bring back Sarabhai. We (the cast) are raring to go, waiting to come back, and are absolutely ready on the starting line. <p>Actor Sumeet Raghavan, best known for his role in TV series 'Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai' was part of BR Chopra's epic show 'Mahabharat'. The actor was all of 16 when he played the role of Sudama in the show.<br />

Speaking to a daily, Sumeet said, "I was very young when I bagged the role, and as excited as any new kid on the block. I was quite skinny at the time, probably that’s why I got the role! (laughs). We had barely shot for 3 to 4 days and I remember shooting the Sandipani Ashram portions in Film City and the rain dance sequence at Chena creek. Back then, I did not realise that I was going to be a part of history. But I do remember seeing Mukesh ji (Khanna) and Nitish ji (Bharadwaj) on the set. They were in their prime then, and I was completely in awe of them," he said.</p>

We never knew you were a part of this epic show!' I am happy that I got to work with such revered actors and be a part of a classic like Mahabharat," he added.</p>

However, at every public event and even at private functions in the last 10 years, I was always asked when Sarabhai vs Sarabhai was returning.&rdquo;</p>
