<p>Puma's first-quarter sales rose a currency-adjusted 15.3 percent to 1.32 billion euros ($1.47 billion), versus an analyst consensus for 1.3 billion.</p>

<p>Operating profit came in at 143 million euros versus a consensus forecast of 139 million.</p>

<p>"The first quarter of 2019 was the best quarter PUMA has ever seen," Chief Executive Bjorn Gulden said in a statement, adding that revenue and absolute operating profit were the highest it had ever achieved.</p>

<p>Still, Puma held off raising its guidance for the full year, which analysts regard as conservative</p>

<p>"Even if we have nine more months to go and despite a lot of uncertainty in the market, we feel comfortable that we will achieve our guidance for the full year," Gulden said.</p>

<p>Puma has forecast currency-adjusted sales growth of about 10 per cent and operating profit of 395-415 million euros.</p>

<p>Adidas has forecast currency-neutral group sales growth of 5-8 per cent in 2019 as it grapples with supply issues, while Nike expects sales to grow in the low double digits.</p>

<p>It&#39;s that time of the year when music artists all around the world start looking forward to their nominations to the prestigious American Music Awards (AMAs&#39;) held annually.&nbsp;</p>

At the end of the harvest season, enthusiastic dancers come out dressed in their most colourful outfits to mark the successful completion of the harvest. Thus the name, Crop Over celebration.</p>

<p>The festival, however, took a backseat when the sugar industry in&nbsp;Barbados suffered and started declining. In fact, the festival was stopped in the 1940s. It was revived in&nbsp;1974 and the festival came back with a stronger influence combining elements from the Barbadian culture. The festival today attracts thousands from all around the world.&nbsp;</p>

<p>This wasn&#39;t a first for Rihanna as she has come out all in support of the festival previously, too. In 2015, Rihanna was seen sporting a blue dye of a much darker shade.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Canadian rapper Drake won his first ever American Music Awards on Sunday, Ariana Grande was named the&nbsp;artist of the year, and punk band Green Day took aim at newly-elected US&nbsp;President Donald Trump.</p>

<p>&quot;No Trump, no KKK, no fascist USA,&quot; sang Green Day, performing their controversial anti-gun violence single &quot;Bang Bang&quot; on the live show and re-writing some of the lyrics.</p>
