Kick It Out said the FA had been notified and that they believe "retrospective action" should be taken, including "mandatory education".

Silva, who deleted the post an hour after it was published on Sunday, posted another message saying "Can't even joke with a friend these days....you guys."

The two players were teammates at Monaco before joining Manchester City in 2017.

Twitter claim to have already permanently suspended a series of accounts as a result of the racist posts.

Anti-discrimination campaigners Kick It Out have also called for action.

"The vile racist abuse on social media continued today. This problem will not go away and needs decisive action - that's what we'll be making clear to Twitter when we meet," Kick It Out said on Saturday.

One of the marchers, 27-year-old Berlin teacher Janna Rakowski, said she wanted "to show the people of Dresden that they are not alone in the fight against racism.

"We want to show our solidarity in this particular situation before the elections in Saxony," she told AFP.&nbsp;

A spokeswoman for the organisers, Susann Riske, said: "We want to do something against the current political climate and support those who oppose hatred and violence every day."

Greta Schmidt, a 66-year-old retiree from Dresden, held up a sign reading "Grandmas against the extreme right".

"The people are very dissatisfied... the big parties have sabotaged their chances," she said.

Before the march started, organisers said they expected at least 10,000 people to turn up at the protest, while about 70 kilometres (40 miles) away, the co-leader of the AfD Alexander Gauland is due to address a rally in the city of Chemnitz.

Democratic 2020 contender Kamala Harris, who like Booker is black, said she was "proud" to have her campaign headquarters in Cummings' district and called Trump's attack "disgraceful."

A historic port city of 600,000 people, Baltimore presents a mixed picture, with both handsome and affluent neighbourhoods and poverty-stricken districts. It has one of the country's highest murder rates.&nbsp;

Cummings' district is more than 50 per cent black -- and the city of Baltimore as a whole, more than 60 per cent.

Cummings himself tweeted: "Mr President, I go home to my district daily. Each morning, I wake up, and I go and fight for my neighbours. It is my constitutional duty to conduct oversight of the Executive Branch. But it is my moral duty to fight for my constituents."

As chairman of the House Oversight Committee, Cummings -- one of the most prominent African Americans in Congress -- has launched investigations into Trump administration policies, including reports of poor treatment at migrant detention centres.

Tlaib said Trump's tweets and remarks were "a continuation of his racist and xenophobic playbook."

"We cannot allow these hateful actions by the president to distract us from the critical work to hold this administration accountable to the inhumane conditions at the border that is separating children from their loved ones and caging them up in illegal, horrific conditions," she said.

Omar and Tlaib repeated calls for Trump to be impeached.

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has called for a rule that can permit the Premier League managers to stop the match if a player is racially abused.&nbsp;

Sarri said, "We need a rule for the Premier League but I think for all the championships, for all football, a rule that can permit us to stop the match."&nbsp;

The Chelsea head coach was reacting after the club's 18-year-old winger, Callum Hudson-Odoi, was racially abused twice in 11 days playing for his club and on his England debut.&nbsp;

Chelsea lodged a formal complaint with UEFA over the racist abuse aimed at Hudson-Odoi in the 5-0 Europa League win at Dynamo Kiev on March 14.&nbsp;

UEFA has charged Montenegro with racist behaviour after abuse suffered by England players in their 5-1 victory in Podgorica in a Euro 2020 qualifier on Monday (25th March).&nbsp;

Sarri said, "We need to do something different, probably it's right to stop the match for 10 minutes at the first situation."

Apart from Sarri, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola also took a stand against racism. He said is prepared to take their players off the pitch in a bid to combat racist abuse.&nbsp;

Thousands gathered in New Zealand's cities on Sunday to protest racism and remember the 50 Muslims killed by a gunman in Christchurch and as Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern announced a national remembrance service to be held later this week.

About 15,000 turned out for an evening vigil in Christchurch in a park near the Al Noor mosque, where a suspected white supremacist killed more than 40 of the victims. Several more people were killed at the nearby Linwood mosque.

Many non-Muslim women wore headscarves at the vigil, some made by members of Christchurch's Muslim community, to show their support for those of Islamic faith as they had at similar events last week.

Ardern said on Sunday that a national remembrance service would be held on March 29 to honour the victims, most of whom were migrants or refugees.

"The service will be a chance to once again show that New Zealanders are compassionate, inclusive and diverse and that we will protect those values," Ardern said in a statement.

The prime minister has been praised for her leadership following the attack. She swiftly moved to denounce the incident as terrorism, toughen gun laws and express national solidarity with the victims and their families.

The vigil started with an Islamic prayer, followed by a reading of the names of the victims, which included students from the nearby Cashmere High School.

In his social media post, Sterling refers to headlines about Adarabioyo, 21, and fellow City youngster Phil Foden buying houses.

Dolce &amp; Gabbana cancelled a long-planned fashion show in Shanghai Wednesday after an outcry over racially offensive posts on its social media accounts, a setback for the company in the world's most important luxury market.

The Italian fashion house quickly issued a statement apologising and saying the accounts as well as that of its namesake designer Stefano Gabbana had been hacked, but it did little to calm a brewing social media uproar in China.

Some of China's biggest celebrities had been billed to attend the "Great Show" event, but on Wednesday one after another announced their withdrawal.

"Our mother country is more important than anything, we appreciate the vigour and beauty of our cultural heritage," said the management of Wang Junkai, a hugely popular singer in boyband TFBoys, as they announced his withdrawal.

"I love my mother country," actress Li Bingbing told her 42 million fans on Weibo.&nbsp;

The controversy arose after Dolce &amp; Gabbana posted short clips on Instagram earlier this week showing a woman eating pizza and spaghetti with chopsticks that some deemed culturally insensitive.&nbsp;

It erupted into a firestorm after screenshots circulated of an Instagram user's chat with the famously volatile Stefano Gabbana in which he used five smiling poop emojis to talk about China and launched insults at the country and its people.&nbsp;

Even China's Communist Youth League jumped into the fray.

"Foreign companies operating in China should respect China and respect Chinese people," the youth league tweeted to Dolce &amp; Gabbana on Weibo.&nbsp;

Actor Talu Wang also tweeted on Weibo: "Respect is more important than anything."

As the backlash escalated, Dolce &amp; Gabbana took to Instagram and Weibo saying its account and that of designer Stefano Gabbana had been hacked and that its legal office was "urgently investigating" the matter.

"We are very sorry for any distress caused by these unauthorised posts. We have nothing but respect for China and the people of China," the company said on Instagram.

Dolce &amp; Gabbana said separately on its verified Weibo account that the show "has been rescheduled", though it did not specify the reason nor did it give a new date for the event.

"We apologise for the inconvenience," it said.

The controversy marks the latest backpedalling by a foreign company for offending Chinese consumers with advertising or information that insults China or clashes with Beijing's official position.
