We had informed our relatives and other local residents who knew him and they had already gathered to mourn his passing. A tent had been set up and food had also been arranged for the mourners. We had also got wood for the cremation,"&nbsp;Balwan Singh, one of Brar's grandsons, told NDTV.&nbsp;</p>

Scot Hollingsworth of Daytona Beach, a resident of Florida, informed the local TV station WKMG that he was bitten by a 9-foot-long snake as he opened the front entrance to his home.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Hollingsworth said that he heard a sound when he opened the door to see who was there. He said that when he got up to check, he was watching TV with his wife.&nbsp;He claimed that he experienced severe leg discomfort as soon as he opened the door and left the house to turn off the porch lights. He claimed that when he discovered an alligator on his porch biting his upper leg, he was astounded.</p>

<p>He said, "I jumped up and headed over and opened the door, stepped out while trying to reach the lights and barely got out the door and got my leg clamped on and [it] started shaking really violently."&nbsp;"It was just total surprise and shock. I suspect I surprised the alligator as much as he surprised me," he added.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The man was taken to the hospital after the event to receive medical attention for his wounds. On the other hand, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission later discovered the alligator and it was euthanised.&nbsp;A few suggestions for peaceful coexistence with alligators were included in the commission's report.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The video was shot by journalist Praveen Thakur of Dainik Bhaskar depicting the devastating condition of National Highway 227 that passes through the Madhubani area of Bihar. According to a Dainik Bhaskar report, this issue has been raised multiple times in the legislature, but the road has still not been repaired.</p>

<p>Political strategist and an ardent critic of the Nitish Kumar government in Bihar, Prashant Kishore tweeted in Hindi, "Reminiscent of the condition of roads in Bihar in the Jungle Raj of the 90s, this is National Highway 227 (L) of Madhubani district of Bihar. The video was shot by journalist Praveen Thakur of Dainik Bhaskar depicting the devastating condition of National Highway 227 that passes through the Madhubani area of Bihar. According to a Dainik Bhaskar report, this issue has been raised multiple times in the legislature, but the road has still not been repaired. Political strategist and an ardent critic of the Nitish Kumar government in Bihar, Prashant Kishore tweeted in Hindi, "Reminiscent of the condition of roads in Bihar in the Jungle Raj of the 90s, this is National Highway 227 (L) of Madhubani district of Bihar. <p>Some years ago, Gangadhar Tilak Katnam,&nbsp;would complain to his local government and the police about potholes in the city roads, but to no avail.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Tilak says that the potholes caused many accidents. He kept trying to find an appropriate solution from the authorities, but when he was unable to do so, he filled them himself.&nbsp;</p>

<p>This elderly couple says that using&nbsp;a mixture of Bitumen and aggregate,&nbsp;they have filled up around two thousand potholes in the last eleven years. This has helped in&nbsp;preventing numerous accidents.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Damage to roads, potholes, and stoney irregularities along flyovers and highways are common in the country, and they become even worse during the monsoon, when waterlogging covers the potholes, leaving riders unaware.</p>
