<p>As per Israeli election rules, publication of surveys are prohibited in the&nbsp;immediate days before the election. These surveys are not consistently accurate,&nbsp;but influence both politicians and voters.</p>

<p>According to the three <a href="https://www.wionews.com/world/twitter-revamping-user-verification-process-says-musk-529730">polls</a>, Netanyahu's Likud was expected to secure 30-31 seats and emerge as the dominant force.</p>

<p>The far-right Religious Zionism, allied with Netanyahu's coalition, was anticipated to be the third-largest party in the Knesset with 14–15 members, trailing Prime Minister Yair Lapid's Yesh Atid by 24–27 seats.</p>

<p>Religious Zionism, a far-right coalition led by former minister Bezalel Smotrich and including the anti-LGBT Noam faction and MK Itamar Ben Gvir's Otzma Yehudit, has recently risen in the polls, largely at the expense of Likud, though Netanyahu's party has made gains at the expense of its partners in the final weeks leading up to previous elections.</p>

<p>In all three votes, Religious Zionism was followed by National Unity, which won 10–11 seats. Defense Minister Benny Gantz's Blue and White, Justice Minister Gideon Sa'ar's New Hope, and political newcomer Gadi Eisenkot, a former IDF chief of staff like Gantz, make up the center-right slate.</p>

<p>Gantz has promoted himself as a potential prime ministerial candidate, although his chances of putting together a coalition seem to be poor.</p>

<p>Shas and United Torah Judaism, two ultra-Orthodox parties that support Netanyahu, regularly received 8 and 7 seats, respectively, in all three polls.</p>

Congress won the mayor's seat in Rewa for the first time since a direct election for the post was introduced in 1999.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In Morena, Sharada Solanki of Congress won the mayoral election by 14,631 votes, defeating the BJP's Meena Mukesh Jatav. Morena municipal corporation is part of the Morena Lok Sabha seat, represented by Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar. In Dewas, the BJP's Geeta Agrawal won the mayoral election by defeating Vinodini Vyas of Congress by 45,889 votes. The BJP's Prahlad Patel won in Ratlam municipal corporation too by defeating Mayank Singh Jat of Congress by 8,591 votes.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In Katni municipal corporation, independent candidate Priti Sanjeev Suri defeated her nearest rival and BJP candidate Jyoti Dixit by 5,287 votes. Katni is part of the Khajuraho Lok Sabha seat, the constituency of state BJP chief V D Sharma. Polling was held in five municipal corporations, 40 nagar palikas and 169 nagar parishads across 43 districts in the second phase.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The elections were held on party lines. In the first phase of mayoral elections in 11 cities, for which counting was held on Sunday, the BJP had won seven seats while the Congress and Aam Aadmi Party had won three and one mayoral posts.&nbsp;</p>
