Quoting her father, she said that when a mother dies it is counted as one death in the hospital but for the family, a mother is lost forever. The government has handled a very “big vaccination drive during Covid” so it may not be very difficult to provide cervical vaccination to girls in the age group of 9-14 years, Murty said.

Murty also highlighted the effectiveness and affordability of cervical vaccination, developed in the West and used for the past two decades.

"It worked very well. It is not expensive. Today it is ₹1,400 ($16.76) for people like me who are in the field. If the government intervenes and negotiates...you can bring it to ₹ 700-800 ($8.38 - $9.58). We have such a large population. It will be beneficial for our girls in the future," she said during her 13-minute address.

Apparently referring to some opposition parties and the proposed Mahagathbandhan, Modi said "Why are the parties of 'Mahamilavat' (highly adulterated) indulging in petty politics that is benefiting the enemy. In their hatred for Modi, they have started hating the country."

Visakhapatnam was a 'dream city' of Andhra youth and the Centre had accorded priority to fulfil their aspirations, he said, addressing a public meeting.

"Today I have come here with a good news. The government has taken a proactive step on a long pending demand. Centre has decided to create South Coast railway zone with Visakhapatnam as its headquarters," Modi said.

This was as per the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014, he said.

Other initiatives for the state included upgradation of the local airport, an IIT, Indian Institute of Petroleum and Energy, ESIC super speciality hospital and creating oil reserve facilities, he said.

The 'pradhan sevak' (principal worker) was totally dedicated for the development of the state and the NDA was doing it with full vigour and honesty as "there is no baggage on us."

"We have no fear of what will happen if some file is opened. Only those who had sinned will be afraid. This fear is consuming our rivals, among who are those trying to establish a dynasty," he said without naming anyone.

In an apparent reference to Naidu, he called him an "expert in U-turn," and said had he fulfilled the promises made by him, he could not have had to blame the Prime Minister for his follies.

DEEPALI: It was definitely an exciting moment to head the culinary front for the PM and his delegation of 150 pax. This event was held in “Lotte Hotel Seoul”, by the way I do not work at this place on a regular basis. It was for this event that the Indian Ambassador here in Seoul had asked me to lead on the culinary front for PM Modi’s trip (2 days and approximately 150+ people in the delegation).

WION: What did the menu include during his two days of stay?&nbsp;

DEEPALI: It was mostly Indian food served in breakfast, lunch and dinner.&nbsp;

WION: Any comments by the PM on the food?

DEEPALI: It was after dinner that we got a chance to meet the PM and he complimented us for the food saying, “It was very tasty”. After this we got a chance to get pictures clicked with the him and then he also asked me to send this picture to my parents in Gorakhpur.&nbsp;

WION: Tell us more about your journey from Gorakhpur to Seoul.&nbsp;

DEEPALI: I was born and brought up in Gorakhpur, did my schooling from Gorakhpur itself and then moved to Vanasthali Vidyapeeth, Rajasthan where I completed my Bachelors and Masters in Computer Science. I got married while I was completing my Masters.&nbsp;

My husband then was working in US so I moved to US and started my career as a developer in US itself. By the time I got settled with my job in US, my husband got transferred to Thailand. Since I was a trailing spouse I didn not have a work permit, my husband had the work permit, I was on a dependent VISA. I decided to utilise the time I had by enrolling in a college but I got a job offer from my institute of that of a Corporate trainer. Then I got to know we were expecting our first child so we moved back to India.

After the birth of my first child we then moved to the Philippines where I got to know that the best courses offered here were on Culinary, I started learning Culinary.&nbsp;I won a lot of competitions after that and then I started getting more work as a Chef. I never thought that I would be working as a Chef but I went with the flow.&nbsp;

Then we again got a transfer to South Korea. Whatever Indian Projects that were in Seoul I was the Chef-in-Charge in most of them. Interestingly I was never a trained Chef in Indian food because of my training in Culinary in the Philippines. I never cooked Indian food so to get the expertise I worked for free in Indian Restaurants in Seoul.&nbsp;

It has been a learning experience for me and the journey has been an exciting one from Gorakhpur to Seoul.&nbsp;

'Exciting moment to prepare food for PM': Head chef for Modi's Seoul visit speaks to WION

President Ram Nath Kovind on Tuesday unveiled the&nbsp;portrait of <a href="http://www.wionews.com/india-news/how-atal-bihari-vajpayees-government-went-about-pokhran-ii----136003">former prime&nbsp;minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee</a> at the Central Hall of Parliament in Delhi.

The event was attended by Prime Minister Modi along with several other dignitaries.

Speaking at the event, PM Modi said, "Atal Ji had a long political career, a large part of that career was spent in opposition. Yet, he continued raising issues of public interest and never ever deviated from his ideology".

Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad said, "Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji will be remembered because there was criticism in his words for opposition but in his heart, there was no anger against opposition".

The portrait had been prepared by the renowned artist Krishn Kanhai of Vrindavan in Uttar Pradesh.

The decision in this regard was taken unanimously on December 18, last year at a meeting of the parliament's portrait committee chaired by Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan.

Inviting all the countrymen, the minister said that 1900 such gift items received by the Prime Minister will on auction.
