<p>&nbsp;According to a source quoted in a Mumbai leading daily, &quot;As an actor, she (Sonam) has always been an admirer of Cate&#39;s work. She is looking forward to discussing cinema and fashion, her two greatest passions, with Cate.&quot;</p>

<p>Kapoor, who is heading to Dubai today, will walk the red carpet at the opening ceremony this evening.</p>

<p>The gala event will also see Turkish star Tuba B&uuml;y&uuml;k&uuml;st&uuml;n and Lebanese-Australian lawyer, model and charity worker Jessica Michelle Kahawaty walking the red carpet.</p>

<p>In a statement, sharing her happiness, Sonam said, &quot;I look forward to meeting all the beautiful women from all walks of life at the event.&quot;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Another actress added her name Monday to the dozens accusing movie mogul Harvey Weinstein of a litany of depraved sexual misconduct as he was forced to quit Hollywood&#39;s directing union. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>More than 100 women have come forward since October to accuse the veteran producer of various degrees of bullying, degrading behaviour over the past 40 years, from intimidation to rape.</p>

<p>In the latest case filed in a New York federal court, aspiring British actress Kadian Noble is accusing Weinstein of inviting her to a hotel room in France and sexually assaulting her.</p>

<p>The civil lawsuit says the producer -- who denies all allegations of non-consensual sex -- violated US federal sex trafficking laws during the incident in Cannes, France, in 2014.</p>

<p>The suit accuses Weinstein of groping her, pulled her into his hotel bathroom and forcing her to pleasure him, telling her that &quot;everything will be taken care of for you if you relax.&quot;</p>

<p>A spokesman for the Directors Guild of America confirmed that Weinstein had resigned, several weeks after president Thomas Schlamme announced disciplinary charges against the tycoon, but refused to comment further.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The filmmaker has been involved in more than 300 movies spanning six decades but has just two directing credits, for the animated 1987 film &quot;The Gnomes&#39; Great Adventure&quot; and 1986 comedy &quot;Playing for Keeps.&quot;&nbsp;</p>

<p>The 65-year-old has already been expelled from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, which runs the Oscars, and has resigned from the Producers Guild of America.&nbsp;</p>

<p>He also parted ways with The Weinstein Co., the production house he and his brother Bob co-founded and was suspended by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts. &nbsp; &nbsp;</p>

<p>Two female-led investor groups are interested in taking over The Weinstein Co., which is on the verge of bankruptcy, with a figure in the region of $275 million reportedly on the table.</p>

<p>Announcing disciplinary action against Weinstein in October, the DGA released a statement condemning the &quot;scourge&quot; of sexual harassment and calling for a zero-tolerance approach to abuses of power.&nbsp;</p>

<p>&quot;This isn&#39;t about one person. We must recognize sexual harassment is endemic in our society, and painfully, in our industry. We believe that every individual has the right to a safe workplace,&quot; it said.</p>

<p>&quot;The unfortunate truth is that there are those who abuse the power that they hold. For far too long, many have not spoken out -- directors, agents, crew, executives, performers, producers, writers. This shameful code of complicity must be broken.&quot;</p>

<p>The film festival&#39;s chief,&nbsp;Alberto Barbera announced earlier today that the film festival will have everything that the festival attendees and the world is expecting. He said that he was&nbsp;&ldquo;97% satisfied&rdquo; with his roster of movies and celebrities for the year.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Your favourite super villain &#39;Joker&#39; from DC Comics is soon to get its own movie. Warner Bros. and DC are currently working on an origin film about the villain&#39;s life so that the fans finally get to know him better.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As reported by Deadline, fans will get answers about&nbsp;the Batman villain&#39;s past and what made him the villain that he was including his altercation with Batman. The story behind his infamous cut across the mouth will also be revealed. It&nbsp;is to be a &quot;gritty and grounded hard-boiled crime film&quot; set in 1980s Gotham City, much before Joker decides to go all crazy on the city.</p>

<p>The movie is currently under early development and&nbsp;Martin Scorsese has been signed on to produce the film while&nbsp;Todd Phillips (Hangover fame) has been roped to&nbsp;direct.</p>

<p>Todd Phillips is currently working on the script with screenwriter Scott Silver, who penned the movie &#39;8 Mile&#39;. Meanwhile,&nbsp;Scorsese is working on the tone of the movie which is reported to liken to movies like&nbsp;Taxi Driver and Raging Bull.</p>

<p>As reported by Deadline, WB plans to look for a new and younger actor to play the role of Joker. This when Jared Leto is on board to&nbsp;continue playing the Joker in the upcoming Harley Quinn spinoff and the next Suicide Squad movie.&nbsp;</p>

<p>As for the plot line, the screenwriters have a lot of ideas in mind but among all origin ideas,&nbsp;Joker&nbsp;as a crook called the Red Hood is&nbsp;the most famous origin for the character. It first appeared&nbsp;in a 1950s Batman comic and later in Alan Moore&#39;s The Killing Joke.</p>

<p>The singer even took a three-month long social media break last summer to focus on her mental health. The sitcom ran its last episode in 2006 and will be coming back on screen after a hiatus of 11 years.&nbsp;Official reports state that the shooting will start by month-end and will star the original cast. The plot will take a seven-year leap and looks of the characters will be suitably altered.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In an interview to Mumbai Mirror, actor-producer-director Jamnadas Majethia said, &ldquo;After the show wrapped up, all of us, including the actors, got busy with other commitments. However, at every public event and even at private functions in the last 10 years, I was always asked when Sarabhai vs Sarabhai was returning.&rdquo;</p>

<p>Netflix has announced to restore and release Orson Welles film titled &ldquo;The Other Side of the Wind&rdquo;, unfinished since the early 1970s. The company will finance the restoration of the movie, a 1970 film starring John Huston and Dennis Hopper.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The film was initially set up with Paramount for release which was handling the domestic distribution and STX Entertainment handling overseas rights. However,&nbsp;Scorsese and team have now opted to package the movie elsewhere according to IndieWire. &nbsp;</p>

<p>Paramount Pictures had released Martin&#39;s previous film <em>Silence</em>&nbsp;which cost them $46 million but earned only $7.1 million. With the previous movie not delivering&nbsp;results as expected and the exit of chief Brad Grey, the movie hit a few halts. In a departure from last year`s awards calendar, the announcements come before the influential Screen Actors Guild nominations, making them the first major bellwether of momentum going into the Oscars race. The two-time Oscar winner and five-time Academy Award nominee came to embody the elegant glamour of the silver screen in the 1930s and 1940s.<br />

But she also made waves with a landmark legal battle against the Hollywood studios and a secret feud with her equally famous sister, Joan Fontaine.<br />
<br />
The 1939 box-office blockbuster &quot;Gone with the Wind&quot; brought de Havilland wide acclaim for her role as the noble, long-suffering Melanie, starring opposite Vivien Leigh and Clark Gable in the US Civil War epic.<br />
<br />
Her performance as love rival to the fiery Scarlett O&#39;Hara, played by Leigh, led to de Havilland&#39;s first Oscar nod for best supporting actress.<br />
<br />
But she lost out to co-star Hattie McDaniel, who played the character of Mammy and became the first African-American to win an Academy Award.<br />

During her court case, she was blacklisted for three years and unable to work, but her legal victory kickstarted her career.<br />

The following year in 1946 she won her first Oscar for her portrayal of Jody Norris in &quot;To Each His Own&quot;, in an edgier role as an unmarried mother and her heartbreaking struggle to stay near to the child she could never acknowledge.<br />
