The incident took place at 4:34 pm local time, after which the mall was shut for the remaining day as the investigation followed.

Police said a man was found dead inside the building while three were transferred to a nearby hospital. Two of them were seriously injured while a third woman was being treated for minor injuries, who didn’t have any gunshot injury.

"The situation is contained and there is no ongoing threat to the community," police said on X.

Cronin added that no innocent bystander was hurt in the shooting incident.

The Colorado mall will now be opened on Tuesday morning after the Christmas holiday.&nbsp;

Three injured in shooting at Christiana Mall in US state of Delaware, probe launched

The Bloomington Police Department has arrested five people for the fatal shooting at the Mall of America&nbsp;in Minnesota&nbsp;that took the life of a 19-year-old. On Saturday, the police arrested five young males aged between 17 to 18 years, according to Police Chief Booker Hodges.&nbsp;

While the cops investigate the possibility of another shooter, Hodges&nbsp;believes he is one of the arrested suspects. In any case, the police would charge them&nbsp;with second-degree murder.

Later, an officer working at the Watches of Switzerland store discovered a body of a 19-year-old African American boy shot multiple times.&nbsp;

The police performed protective measures on the victim but could not save him. Another bullet grazed a bystander, but the person is likely to survive, said&nbsp;Hodges.

A policeman appears to have shot and killed the wrong person in responding to a shooting in an Alabama shopping mall that left two others wounded, police said Saturday, correcting an earlier account of the Black Friday incident.

Police in Hoover, Alabama, originally said 21-year-old Emantic Fitzgerald Bradford pulled a gun and opened fire during a physical altercation in the Riverchase Galleria mall, wounding an 18-year-old man.&nbsp;

A 12-year-old girl was also wounded in the incident.

A uniformed Hoover police officer then shot Bradford dead as he ran from the scene brandishing a gun, police said.

"New evidence suggests that while Bradford may have been involved in some aspect of the altercation, he likely did not fire the rounds that injured the 18-year-old victim," Hoover police said in a statement.

"This information indicates that there is at least one gunman at large, who could be responsible for the shooting of the 18-year-old male and 12-year-old female." he said.

US media published photographs of Bradford, who was black.

There have been a series of fatal encounters in recent years between US police and African Americans, who formed the Black Lives Matter Movement in response.

The police officer involved has been put on administrative leave pending an investigation into the incident by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency.
