<p>In an interview with <em>The Indian Express, </em>Rana said after he was banned for a second offence, Shah Rukh Khan came to him and gave a pep talk, which included the idea of celebrating with the gesture that got him the punishment. &nbsp;</p>

<p>"After I got banned for one match, I was very sad and then Shah Rukh sir came to me and said ‘Tu tension mat le ye waali celebration trophy ke saath karenge (You don't worry, we'll celebrate the IPL with a flying kiss). He promised me and made sure that we did that with the trophy and our team," said Rana.&nbsp;</p>

<h2><strong>Why was Rana fined?</strong></h2>

<p>Rana was fined&nbsp;60 per cent of his match fees after he celebrated overenthusiastically during his side's close victory against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Eden Gardens.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Rana was found in breach of the IPL Code of Conduct for his actions. He committed&nbsp;two Level 1 offences under Article 2.4. He was fined 10 per cent and 50 per cent of his match fees for the two respective offences.</p>

<p>"Not a chance. Next time I will make sure that I will not use it as a send-off.&nbsp;This is my cricket. I have always played my cricket like this.&nbsp;I am a fun-loving guy off the field but on the cricket pitch, I am not there to make friends, I want to win," said Rana.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Rana, who majorly bowled in the back end of the innings picked 19 wickets from just 13 matches for KKR and played a pivotal part in the franchise picking up its third IPL trophy.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Quizzed shortly after the win, Russell reflected on how KKR had looked after him when he was out injured and could not perform to the best of his abilities.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"I don't have the words to explain right now [holds back tears]. It means so much. With all the fans supporting us right throughout. We, as players, trying to go game after game to get the job done," said Russell.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"I am happy that all of us were very disciplined and wanted the same goal. This franchise has done so much for me, and this is a big gift from all of us to them," he added.&nbsp;</p>

<p>During the mid-innings break, Russell revealed that he was not in a great mental space the last few years which had affected his performance on the field. <p>Team balance led KKR to their third IPL title, and two players – Mitchell Starc and all-rounder Andre Russell, were vital in the&nbsp;team's&nbsp;success. While Russell was on the top of his game throughout, scoring 222 runs and picking 19 wickets, including three in the final, Starc upped the ante during the fag end of the tournament, picking 17 wickets in total.</p>

<p>Praising the duo for stepping up in the games that mattered the most, Iyer said,&nbsp;</p>

<p>"That [big games] is when all the big players stand up,"&nbsp;he said of Starc.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A resurgent Delhi Capitals (DC) will be facing second-placed Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 on April 29 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. DC have bounced back emphatically in the season, winning four of their last five games after losing four from their first&nbsp;five games.</p>

<p>KKR, after starting out the season with three wins on the trot, are having a see-saw moment with three losses and two wins in the last five games. Nonetheless, KKR have played two games less than DC and have same points - giving them a relatively pressure-free situation to play under.</p>

<p>With their batting being almost equal in terms of hitting power, it'll probably come down to the bowlers and how well they can handle the pressure. It still hurts me that had I worked on those skills back then, I could have dominated even more. But it didn't happen back then as experience is something that you get only when you play a lot. When you encounter failure in life, then only you learn and now I am more confident about my skills and at the same time respectful of the fact that opposition can be good too."</p>

<p>The Indian cricketer added, "Back in the day, I didn't do (respect opposition) that. I believed in my skills but then at the same time you need to understand how the batter is playing and that maturity has come, knowing my strength and where to bowl so that it is difficult to hit, and I am working on that."</p>

<p>Not only for DC, Kuldeep has become a regular for India, especially in the longer formats. A sensational run in IPL 2024 can certainly book his ticket for the 2024 T20 World Cup&nbsp;to be held in the West Indies and USA in June. <p>Rajasthan Royals (RR) came from the brink to win the top-of-the-table clash after Jos Buttler went ballistic on his return, smashing an unbeaten hundred (107*) to complete the highest run chase in IPL history. RR were out of the contest for the major parts of the match but Buttler kept his cool and delivered the knockout punch to the hosts in front of a stunned Eden Gardens.&nbsp;</p>

<p>RR needed nine runs in the final over as Buttler kept the strike with himself and smashed the winning runs on the final ball as Varun Chakravarthy put up an admirable fight.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Chasing the daunting target, RR lost both Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sanju Samson in the powerplay phase. Buttler looked rusty after returning to the batting lineup as an impact sub but managed to forge a little partnership with in-form Riyan Parag.</p>

<p>The new RR no. 4 perished after a 14-ball 34-run cameo as wickets continued to tumble on the other end with Buttler unable to farm the strike.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The big turning point in the match came when Chakravarthy took two wickets on two deliveries to send Raavichandran Ashiwn and power-hitter Shimron Hetmyer, back to the pavilion.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Quizzed where the game went awry for his team, Shreyas Iyer in the post-match ceremony said it was 'hard to explain what happened'.&nbsp;</p>

Riding on Sunil Narine's maiden IPL ton (109), KKR posted a mammoth score after being asked to bat first. In reply, Sanju Samson &amp; Co. were in need of 79 off the last 30 balls with opener Jos Buttler and power-hitter Rovman Powell in the middle. With Powell starting the onslaught, Buttler also joined the party after a slow start&nbsp;and the Englishman's unbeaten 107 took his side home on the penultimate ball of the contest, with two wickets in hand.&nbsp;</p>

Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad (67*) shepherded the chase with immaculate precision, scoring his first fifty of the season, when it looked like CSK might struggle the same way as KKR did on the slow pitch.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Rachin Ravindra (15) opened the batting with Gaikwad and stroked a few good shots before Vaibhav Arora got his number in the fourth over. A returning Daryl Mitchell (25) walked out to bat at no. 3 and started rotating the strike without much fuss.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Kolkata Knight Riders batting sensation Angkrish Raghuvanshi has revealed that his celebration post completing the half-century was inspired by Manchester United's star forward Marcus Rashford. Raghuvanshi has been the talk of the town after he compiled a superb fifty that helped KKR complete a 106-run win against Delhi Capitals on Wednesday (Apr 3).</p>

<p>The 18-year-old said he had&nbsp;been a long-time fan of the Red Devils and that his celebration was dedicated towards one of his KKR teammates.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"As far as the celebration I did while batting, I did that for Nitish (Rana) Bhaiya, he got injured. Him and I are both (Manchester) United fans, so I did that for him," Angkrish said.</p>

<p>Appreciating Raghuvanshi's innings against DC, Rana posted a story on his Instagram account with the Rashford celebration gif .&nbsp;</p>

<p>Meanwhile, post the match, Raghuvanshi took to social media to troll his teammate Phil Salt, who, as it turns out, is a Manchester City supporter -- the cross-city rivals of United.&nbsp;</p>
