The two sides also agreed to constitute a Joint Hydro Development Committee (JHDC) to further explore the development of viable hydropower projects in Nepal with a particular focus on storage projects.&nbsp;

According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Energy, Water Resources and Irrigation, Nepal and India have agreed to form a joint technical team consisting of three members from each country to construct a large hydropower project.&nbsp;

The meeting discussed the existing transmission lines between the two countries, under construction and proposed interstate transmission lines, Arun III hydropower and transmission line, and interstate power trade.

The two sides have also agreed to increase the volume of electricity to be traded through the 400kV Dhalkebar-Muzaffarpur cross-border transmission line to 600MW from the current 350MW.

During the meeting, there was an agreement to increase the volume of power to be traded through this transmission line once the 400kV Hetauda-Dhalkebar-Inaruwa transmission line is completed, possibly by December 2023.

The government of Nepal has to manage the budget to construct the project on its side.

India, Nepal to construct new hydropower project with joint investment

In a first, an army officer from Pakistan's minority Hindu community, Kelash Kumar, has become the first man to be promoted to the rank of lieutenant colonel. This is not the first time Kumar has made history, in 2019, he became the first-ever Hindu major in the Pakistan army and was then posted in the Ministry of Defence.

He comes from the Tharparkar district of Sindh province and joined the Pakistan army as a captain after completing his&nbsp;MBBS from the Liaquat University of Medical Health and Sciences (LUMHS), in Jamshoro.

Not just this, but Kumar has also been awarded the Tamgha-e-Difa, Tamgha-e-Baqa and Tamgha-e-Azam for his services.

He also served in the army operation Al-Meezan and was also a part of operation Raah-e-Nijat in Swat against the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan.

He added that the situation is in danger of "spiralling into a major crisis" and if not handled carefully, it may undermine security, adding the security of all parties should be taken into account.&nbsp;

"Over 20,000 Indian students are in Ukraine, we are facilitating the return of all Indian nationals including students as we may be required," Tirumurti said.&nbsp;

Amid a war-like situation, mass evacuations of foreign nationals are taking place. Some of the country's Indian students said they were considering leaving as well.&nbsp;

Indian students studying at Kharkiv University spoke to news agency AP on Wednesday citing a certain level of panic stemming from uncertainty.&nbsp;

Shania Mariyamath, a medical student said that Indian parents were "very much panicked" for their children abroad because of the way Indian news reported on the story.

"We have planned to stay here" she said, "unless our agent or contractor asks us to leave".&nbsp;

Another student, Jahanvi Yaduvanshi, said her parents were panicking in India and that she had already booked flights to go back.

Kharkiv is a potentially risky area as it's located 40 kilometres (25 miles) from the Russian border.

India's embassy in Kyiv issued a string of recommendations for all Indian nationals this week to leave the country over security fears.&nbsp;

Meanwhile, after Russian President Vladimir Putin declared military operation 'to demilitarise Ukraine', Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba said in a tweet, "Putin has launched a full-scale war against Ukraine."&nbsp;

"Strikes continue on peaceful Ukrainian cities. This is a war of aggression. Ukraine will defend and win. The world can and must stop Putin. It's time to act - just now," he added. &nbsp;
