The deal could be signed as early as in a couple of months, and it is learnt that the initial techno-commercial details have already been shared and discussed by the Vietnamese Defence Ministry. Orders are expected from both the Vietnamese Army and Navy. </p></p>
<p>BrahMos missile is developed by BrahMos Aerospace, a collaboration between India's Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Russia's NPO Mashinostroyeniya. </p>
<p>If this deal materialises, then Vietnam will be the second country after the Philippines to purchase the BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles from India. </p>
<p>Vietnam, it is understood, has been waiting for some time for the draft agreement, which includes the final deal amount, delivery timeline, payment terms, etc., from BrahMos Aerospace (BAPL). </p>
<p>The development comes at a time when Brahmos's top brass faces leadership challenges over the appointment of new CEO and MD, Dr. Jaiteerth Raghavendra Joshi. </p>

<p>A 50-member Indian defence contingent participated in the fourth edition of the VINBAX – 2023 military exercises in Vietnam in December 2023 on UN peacekeeping scenario. Vietnam’s navy ship participated in international maritime exercise MILAN in India in February 2024.</p>

<p>Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said on Sunday (Dec 22) that India can never allow others to veto its choices and would do everything right in its national interest and for the global welfare. </p></p>
<p>EAM Jaishankar further emphasised that independence could never be confused with neutrality. </p>
<p>"Independence should never be confused with neutrality. We will do whatever is right in our national interest and for the global good without being intimidated to conform. Bharat can never permit others to have a veto on its choices," he said in a video message for a function in Mumbai.</p>
<p>He further said that India had been "schooled too long to visualise progress and modernity as a rejection of our heritage and traditions."</p>

India can never permit others to veto its choices, says EAM Jaishankar

<p>After months of fear due to bomb threats received by several schools in Delhi, the Special Cell of Delhi Police revealed that at least two schools in the Rohini district received threatening emails from their own students, who wanted to postpone exams as they were not prepared. </p></p>
<p>"After investigation by the Special Cell of Delhi Police, it was found that the emails were sent to both schools by two different students of the same school," Delhi police said in a statement.</p>
<p>The police added, "Both students had sent this email to stop the exam because they were not prepared for the exam paper."</p>

<p>In the second incident, a student from Delhi's Paschim Vihar admitted to a similar act after the police traced an email to his home. The students said that they got the idea from previous incidents of bomb threats being made to schools. </p>
<p>When these bomb threats emerged, the police conducted the research and declared them as hoaxes. </p>
<p>On December 13, a total of 30 schools across Delhi received hoax bomb threat emails.</p>

<p>Following this, former Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal raised concerns about recurring bomb threats targeting schools in the national capital. He questioned the potential psychological and academic impact on children, adding that such incidents could disrupt their studies and well-being if they continue abated.</p>
<p>In the past 11 days, over 100 schools in Delhi received a series of bomb threats. The emails were sent via Virtual Private Network (VPN), which made it challenging for the police to track down the perpetrators. </p>
<p>Since May this year, over 50 bomb threats and emails have targeted schools, hospitals, airports, and airline companies in Delhi. </p>

<p>There are three states to the mind, which the modern sciences acknowledge - the conscious, the unconscious and the subconscious state. The fourth state, which modern science does not acknowledge, is the superconscious state or the turaiya state.</p>

Not just visible, but with their help they were able to manifest in the physical world (which I call the unreal) various weaponry, health to the diseased, physical attributes, wealth etc. This was the state of Dhyan which they were in, the Turkish state, and hence were able to do all this. </p>
<p>In dhyana, there is no pratyaya (an object of focus). There is poorna, or you may call it shoonya. The five senses are at rest and made to rest. You don't focus on anything. You are there but you are everywhere, yet you are nowhere. You let go, depending on your karma, divinity takes over you and the Guru guides you into the higher realms and reality, siddhis are a byproduct.</p>

<p>The demonstration of clairvoyance by Sanatan Kriya practitioners in front of a live audience of doctors of the Indian Medical Association (Mumbai) is an example of the same.</p>
<p>Dhyan can only be done with a Guru as the purpose of Dhyan is to take you towards reality, and only someone who has the experience of reality can steer you there.</p>
<p>It cannot be bought, it has to be earned by the grace of Guru - there is no scope for a commercial transaction in this process or relationship.</p>
<p>Very minuscule people reach dhyan but those who do can access the dimensions of higher pleasures, attain the gyan of Vedas without reading and exude that glow, radiance and youth which is described in our shastras. </p>

<p>In a troubling series of fresh incidents, miscreants in Bangladesh have vandalised eight idols in Hindu temples in Mymensingh and Dinajpur districts over the past two days. </p></p>
<p>The police, as per a PTI news agency report, have arrested at least one suspect, with investigations ongoing.  </p>
<h2><strong>What happened?</strong></h2>
<p>In Mymensingh's Haluaghat sub-district, three idols across two temples were destroyed on Thursday and Friday. Two idols at the under-construction Bonderpara Temple in Shakuai were desecrated, while another at Polashkanda Kali Temple in Beeldora was damaged.</p>

<p>Separately, five idols at Jharbari Shashan Kali Temple in Dinajpur's Birganj sub-district were found vandalised earlier this week.  </p>
<p>A 27-year-old man, Alal Uddin, has been arrested in connection with the Polashkanda temple attack, reported Daily Star newspaper, citing Abul Khayer, Officer-in-Charge of Haluaghat Police Station.</p>
<p>Uddin reportedly confessed during interrogation and was subsequently remanded in custody.  </p>
<p>According to an ANI news agency report, another man, a 37-year-old male named Azharul, has been arrested "for vandalising Hindu idols in the Shakuair area."</p>
<h2><strong>Concerns for minorities in Bangladesh</strong></h2>
<p>These vandalism attacks are part of a broader pattern of violence targeting Hindus in Bangladesh.</p>
<p>Recently, India's junior foreign minister Kirti Vardhan Singh, in a written reply to a question in lower house of parliament Lok Sabha revealed that over 2,200 incidents were reported this year in Bangladesh. </p>

<p>"India expects that the Government of Bangladesh will take all necessary measures to ensure the safety and welfare of Hindus and other minorities," he added.</p>

<p>The United States (US) has told its Supreme Court to dismiss the petition brought by Mumbai terror attack convict Tahawwur Rana to avoid his extradition to India. New Delhi is seeking the extradition of the Pakistan-origin Canadian in relation to the Mumbai Taj Hotel attack in 2008.&nbsp;</p>
<p>Rana filed the petition on November 13 after losing the legal battle against the extradition in lower courts. He filed a &ldquo;petition for a writ of certiorari&rdquo; before the US Supreme Court.</p>
