India has blocked the X handles of three state-run accounts for spreading misinformation in wake of the India-Pakistan tensions. Congress MP Shashi Tharoor recently told an international news channel that India wants nothing from Pakistan and that their neighbour is a revisionist power. Speaking to Saudi Arabian news channel Al Arabiya, Tharoor also recalled how Pakistan denies everything until it is presented with proof. He further spoke about the significance of the name Operation Sindoor.
Operation Sindoor was initiated by India in the wake of the Pahalgam attack on April 22, in which several men died. This included Indian Navy officer Lieutenant Vinay Narwal, who had gotten married only a few days before he was brutally killed.&nbsp;

Operation Sindoor 'evocative and powerful choice', says Tharoor, calls Pak 'master of denial'

India's Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri exposed Pakistan's false narratives and propaganda at a press conference about the ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan. He also confirmed that none of the Air Force Stations have been destroyed, contrary to Pakistan's claims.

"There is a claim that has been made that the S400 base in Adampur was destroyed, completely false, once again," Misri clarified.
Notably, Pakistani media have been circulating reports that their jets destroyed India's S-400 air defence system in Adampur using hypersonic missiles.
Earlier, the Press Information Bureau (PIB) also stated on its Fact Check X handle that all claims about the S400 being destroyed are false. It stated that the claim is "FAKE" and "reports of destruction or any damage to an S-400 system are baseless."
<h2>No critical Indian infrastructure destroyed</h2>
Misri further added that Pakistan has claimed that critical Indian infrastructure has been destroyed&nbsp;
"Claims have been made about large sections of critical Indian infrastructure, power system and cyber system being attacked and destroyed, completely false," Misri asserted.

Misri stated that Pakistan is "trying to sow discord between communities in India."
He mentioned that Pakistan has falsely claimed that India fired missiles towards Sri Amritsar Sahib.
"Pakistan is making ludicrous claims about India firing missiles towards Sri Amritsar Sahib."
He termed these attempts "lame" and "doomed for failure."
He also urged the media and people not to believe the lies being spread by the Pakistani government.

One such fake news being spread by Pakistani social media handles is about a Sukhoi Su-30MKI. It is being claimed that a Sukhoi Su-30mki was shot down in Muzaffarabad and an Indian pilot was captured alive. PIB has quashed this claim.&nbsp;
On its social media handle on X, PIB said that the photo being shared is more than 10 years old. It shows a Sukhoi SU-30MKI of the Indian Air Force (IAF) that crashed at Undre Vasti of Kulwadi village near Pune-Ahamad Nagar highway, Maharashtra on October 14, 2014.

Another claim rubbished by PIB is of a fake video that shows a barrage of rockets being fired, claiming that they are being launched from Pakistan towards India. It said that the video is from a video game, originally a simulation, and has been around for three years. It has nothing to do with the ongoing war.

The Press Information Bureau (PIB) has taken it upon itself to help educate people about what's right and what's fake in the wake of the sensitive situation. It is being claimed that a Sukhoi Su-30mki was shot down in Muzaffarabad and an Indian pilot was captured alive. PIB has quashed this claim. On its social media handle on X, PIB said that the photo being shared is more than 10 years old. It shows a Sukhoi SU-30MKI of the Indian Air Force (IAF) that crashed at Undre Vasti of Kulwadi village near Pune-Ahamad Nagar highway, Maharashtra on October 14, 2014. As per clause 6(1)(p) of the Cable Television Networks (Amendment) Rules, 2021, only periodic briefings by designated officials are permitted during anti-terror operations. All stakeholders are urged to exercise vigilance, sensitivity, and responsibility in coverage, upholding the highest standards in the service of the nation," the post said.

The conflict between the rivals erupted last month following a <a href="https://www.wionews.com/opinions/pulwama-terror-attack-indias-response-was-carefully-calibrated-200450">suicide bomb attack claimed by a Pakistan-based militant group</a> in the Indian party of the disputed and divided Kashmir region that killed 40 paramilitary police.

"We do not believe in war and want to solve problems through dialogue," President Arif Alvi said in his Pakistani Republic Day speech.

"Instead of war we should focus on education and health."

Pakistani warplanes engaged in a dogfight with Indian aircraft over Kashmir on February 27, a day after a raid by Indian jets on what it said was a militant camp in Pakistan.

In their first such clash since their last war, in 1971, Pakistan downed an Indian plane and captured its pilot after he ejected over Pakistan-controlled Kashmir.

The pilot was later released by Pakistan as a peace gesture.

The president, who largely holds ceremonial duties, said India had blamed Pakistan for the suicide-bomb attack without evidence, which he said was irresponsible.

Saturday's military parade included an air show featuring the Pakistani-built JF-17 fighter jet. One of the aircraft shot down the Indian plane last month.

"Today's parade is sending the message that we are a peaceful people but we will never be oblivious of our defence," Alvi said.

The parade was attended by Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad, who was invited to attend as the chief guest, and Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Khan said on Twitter earlier that he had received a message from Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi with his best wishes for Republic Day and calling for peace and regional cooperation.

"I welcome PM Modi's message to our people," Khan said.

"I believe it's time to begin a comprehensive dialogue with India to address and resolve all issues. The dispute over the former princely state of Kashmir sparked the first two of three wars between India and Pakistan after independence in 1947. They fought the second in 1965, and a third, largely over what become Bangladesh, in 1971.
