Dubey completed her education from Fergusson College in Pune and did her MPhil &amp; MA in International Studies from Jawaharlal Nehru University. She did her schooling in Margao.

After she was selected in the IFS, Dubey was posted to the ministry of external affairs in New Delhi. She was Under Secretary Latin America and the Caribbean in the MEA from December 2013 to August 2014.

In her fiery speech, Dubey said Prime Minister Imran Khan's rant on Kashmir was "one more attempt" by Pakistan to "spew falsehoods on the world stage".

After the United Nations, the Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has now been snubbed by the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation(OIC) which is the largest alliance of Muslim countries as it has decided to not discuss Kashmir.

For months, Pakistan has been demanding discussion on Kashmir and wanted the OIC to raise the issue. It wanted its members to join its propaganda drive against India, however, the OIC has snubbed Pakistan.

The meeting it taking place in Niger and the theme is "united against terrorism for peace and development". Several topics are on the agenda this time. The statement has an entire list but there is no mention of Kashmir.

The OIC issued a statement in Arabic too but no mention was made on Kashmir. Pakistan has been living in denial over the issue. A statement from the country's foreign ministry said Kashmir will be discussed, but there has been no mention of it in the OIC agenda.

Pakistan's foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi will be in Niger for the meeting. However, it is not the first time that the OIC has rejected Pakistan's demand.&nbsp;

On the occasion of the 14th session of the Islamic summit conference, Pakistan wanted Kashmir mentioned in the Mecca declaration, however, the request was denied, then, Pakistan began a campaign demanding an extraordinary session of OIC foreign ministers but it didn't happen instead something extraordinary happened - the OIC extended an invite to Sushma Swaraj last year.

In March 2019, the then external affairs minister addressed the foreign ministers meet in Abu Dhabi, but Pakistan boycotted the session but it didn't stop pursuing a hearing at OIC but it hasn't got one. The reason is the lack of support for Pakistan within the OIC.

Last year there was no mention of Kashmir in OIC's final dispatch sent after the meeting of foreign ministers in March. The same meeting was attended by late Sushma Swaraj. A report published by a Pakistani news outlet had called it "a source of embarrassment" for Pakistan.

According to the media of Pakistan, it was the UAE and the Maldives that rejected Pakistan's proposal as Pakistan wanted to create a lobbying group at the UN. The demand was rejected by the envoys representing OIC countries.

On the other hand, India is attempting a West Asia outreach with Indian external affairs minister S Jaishankar on a three-nation tour. Jaishankar was in the UAE today which is one of the OIC members and a key ally for India.

"The only crowning glory that this country has to show to the world for the last 70 years is terrorism, ethnic cleansing, majoritarian fundamentalism, and clandestine nuclear trade," he said.

Reminding Pakistan that Jammu and Kashmir is an "integral and inalienable part of India", he said, "What should rather be on the agenda of the UN is Pakistan’s deep state and its unrelenting political and financial support to terrorist organizations and mercenaries which are a threat to global peace and security."&nbsp;

Earlier, Indian envoy to UN, T. S. Tirumurti strongly reacted to Khan's speech tweeting that it is "a new diplomatic low". Indian PM Narendra Modi will address the UNGA later today at 6:30 pm.

India slams Pak PM Imran Khan at UN, highlights Islamabad's support for terror, religious persecution

Pakistan army chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa has returned empty-handed from Saudi Arabia.

The Pakistan general had flown to Riyadh on Sunday along with&nbsp;ISI chief General Faiz Hameed. They wanted to smoothen the straining Pak-Saudi ties and secure Pakistan's place in the Islamic brotherhood club.

However, the duo got a royal snub and a load of embarrassment.

Their visit to Saudi Arabia was an epic failure. According to reports, the Pakistan Army chief couldn't even secure a meeting with the Saudi crown prince Mohamed bin Salman who did not give him an audience.

General Bajwa was to be given a medal&nbsp;but the Saudis changed their mind and all he got was a meeting with the crown prince's younger brother Sheikh Khalid bin Salman, the deputy defence minister of Saudi Arabia and Major General Fayyad Ali Ruwaili, the Kingdom's chief of staff.

General Bajwa's interaction was limited to the Saudi defence establishment. The crown prince of Saudi Arabia is famous for meeting his guests in his own flamboyant ways, last year he had awarded a grand reception to General Bajwa in Riyadh.

However, Imran Khan's obsession with Kashmir has ruined his ties with the crown prince. His government has always relied on the Kashmir narrative to stay in power. Now, the same narrative has cast a shadow on Pakistan's foreign policy. Trump speaking to reporters on Thursday said: "It’s really up to Prime Minister Modi (to accept the offer of mediation). I think they are fantastic people -&nbsp;Khan and Modi -&nbsp;I mean. I would imagine they could get along very well, but if they wanted somebody to intervene, to help them and I spoke with Pakistan about that and I spoke frankly in &nbsp;India about it. If I can, if they wanted me to, I would certainly intervene."

During his meeting with Pakistan Prime Minister&nbsp;Imran Khan, Trump claimed that he had spoken to PM Modi on the Kashmir issue which was later denied by the ministry of external affairs.&nbsp;

"So I was with Prime Minister Narendra Modi two weeks ago and we talked about this subject. And he actually said, would you actually like to be a mediator or arbitrator? Did I say, where? He said Kashmir because this has been going for many, many years. I was surprised at how long it has been going on," Trump had said while hosting Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan at the White House.

"It should be resolved, so he has to think the same thing, so maybe I will speak to him and we will see what we can do," he added.

After Trump made his remarks on Kashmir, India in a swift response clarified that no such request was made by Modi to the US President.

"No such request has been made by PM Modi to US President. It has been India's consistent position," MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said.

"Any engagement with Pakistan would require an end to cross border terrorism. The Simla Agreement and the Lahore Declaration provide the basis to resolve all issues between India and Pakistan bilaterally," the external affairs ministry spokesman added.
