<p>A man from Bihar has bought a horse worth Rs 11.51 lakh (<span class="DFlfde SwHCTb" data-precision="2" data-value="13358.17221">13,358.17</span><span>&nbsp;</span><span class="MWvIVe nGP2Tb" data-mid="/m/09nqf" data-name="United States Dollar">USD) </span>from a breeder from Gujarat's Junagadh. The Kathiawadi horse, known for its grace and royal lineage will mark its journey from Saurashtra to Patna.</p>
<p>As per a report in News 18, the horse named Prithvi is 11 years old and was bred by local horse enthusiast Rajubhai He has devoted his life to preserving and promoting the Kathiawadi lineage. The horse will be transported in a special ambulance and will take four days to reach Bihar, as per a report on LiveMint.&nbsp;</p>
<p>"This isn&rsquo;t just about a purchase. It&rsquo;s about carrying forward a legacy. The fact that someone is willing to pay more than what most would spend on a luxury car shows the growing respect for Kathiawadi horses," Rajubhai Rada said while speaking to <span>Local 18</span>.</p>

Once a favourite of the kings and the royals, the horse of this breed are known for their distinct curved ears, endurance, and graceful gait. A Kathiawadi horse is a symmetrical saddle horse combining strength and elegance. As per reports, it is believed that back in the day a few local horses were cross-bred with wild Iranian horses which are found to be their nearest DNA test ancestors. <p>This is not the first such incident in Gujarat as reports suggest many more similar lights have been seen in the sky over the past few weeks in many villages of the western Indian state. Social media visuals show a bright light in the sky which then starts to move.</p>

<p>The meteors were believed to be a part of the Gamma Normids, a meteor shower that occurs at this time of the year. It typically starts from March 7 and lasts until March 23. Meteors from the shower can enter Earth sometimes, creating a dazzling celestial spectacle. The meteor shower is named after Gamma Normae, a star in the southern hemisphere's Norma constellation. <p>ANI | The India Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for Gujarat. The state is expected to experience extensive heat, with a two--to three-degree rise in temperature. According to the IMD, the state will experience hot waves between February 25 and 27.</p>
<p>Temperature in the coastal regions can also rise, whereas Kutch and the South Saurashtra region can experience immense heat. Due to the same, a yellow alert has been issued as a precautionary measure.</p>
<p>As per IMD scientist AK Das, there will be no change in the minimum temperature for the next five days, however, the maximum temperature can experience a rise of two to three degrees. Also, the coastal areas can have hot and humid conditions, whereas the area near Ahmedabad will have clear skies.</p>

Hot and humid weather may be felt in this region, and Ahmedabad and the surrounding areas will have clear skies," IMD scientist AK Das said on Tuesday.</p>
<p>While the Indian western coast is experiencing excessive heat two months before the start of the summer season, the northern regions, especially the hilly areas, have received a fresh spell of snowfall. Last week, the Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir received a fresh spell of snowfall.</p>

ANI | The India Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for Gujarat. The state is expected to experience extensive heat, with a two--to three-degree rise in temperature. According to the IMD, the state will experience hot waves between February 25 and 27. Temperature in the coastal regions can also rise, whereas Kutch and the South Saurashtra region can experience immense heat. Due to the same, a yellow alert has been issued as a precautionary measure. As per IMD scientist AK Das, there will be no change in the minimum temperature for the next five days, however, the maximum temperature can experience a rise of two to three degrees. Also, the coastal areas can have hot and humid conditions, whereas the area near Ahmedabad will have clear skies. There will be no change in the minimum temperature in the coming five days, but the maximum temperature may increase in the next 2 to 3 days. After that, the temperature may decrease by 2 to 3 degrees. A yellow alert has been issued for the coastal areas of Saurashtra and South Gujarat on 24, 25, and 26. Hot and humid weather may be felt in this region, and Ahmedabad and the surrounding areas will have clear skies," IMD scientist AK Das said on Tuesday.
