The woman also posted a video which she had recorded on the flight to capture the filth on the plane.

“Even the pouches of this seat were not clean and it had waste bottles lying in it, and when I alerted the staff about it, they said it was a mistake. But how many mistakes?” Savant said.

<h2>Here's how Air India reacted to the incident</h2>

Speaking to FOX Business, an Air India spokesperson said that they have knowledge about the incident.

The Air India employee said that the airline “works with reputed caterers who supply to leading airlines globally and have stringent SOPs [standard operating procedures] and multiple checks to ensure quality of meals served to our guests.”

“We are concerned about the experience of the customer in the said instance and have taken it up with our catering service provider to investigate it further. We will take necessary actions to prevent any recurrence of such instances in [the] future," the spokesman added.

This is not the first time Air India has come under scrutiny over the hygiene conditions of their planes.

Two-year-old suffers food poisoning after eating omelette with dead coackroach on Air India flight

As many as 120 people, including men, women, and children, in Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh were admitted to hospitals&nbsp;because of food poisoning, after consuming&nbsp;buckwheat flour, said officials on Tuesday (Aug&nbsp;27).

A special team from the district food and drug administration inspected and sealed the shops of two vendors who were selling contaminated buckwheat flour. A case has been filed against them.

The incident was reported from various villages, with complaints filed in the Farah police area of the Mathura district last night. All the affected persons are stable, as confirmed by the officials.

On the occasion of Janmashtami, many individuals follow the ritual&nbsp;of fasting.&nbsp;Many people experienced vomiting, dizziness, and shivering after eating pooris and pakoras made from buckwheat flour,&nbsp;one of the foods that are consumed during fast.

“We had fritters made from buckwheat flour last night. After that, I started vomiting and felt a burning sensation in my stomach,” said Priyanka, a teenager admitted to the government hospital, according to the PTI video.

Mahesh, another resident, said in the PTI video, “My wife has become very weak, sje was almost unconscious.”

Dr. Bhudev Prasad, head of the health department's rapid response team, said similar instances were reported in several districts.

“Teams from the Health Department, Farah Community Health Centre (CHC), and District Hospital responded swiftly. Initially, patients were treated at the CHC, but as numbers increased, they were moved to the District Hospital, the 100-bed Joint Hospital in Vrindavan, and SN Medical College in Agra,” Dr. Prasad said, as quoted by PTI.

Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Ajay Kumar Verma, asserted that 43 patients were admitted to the SN Medical College Hospital in Agra, 29 to the District Hospital in Mathura, 15 to the 100-bed Combined Hospital, 15 to Baba Jaigurudev Charitable Hospital, 10 to Chauhan Hospital, and others to the CHC in Farah.

“Patients showing improvement today will be discharged,” Dr. Prasad stated.

The affected people are from Parkham, Baroda, Mirzapur, Makhdoom, and Khairat villages. The flour was purchased by Jhagdu and Rajkumar, who supplied it from a grocery merchant in Farah.

120 food poisoning cases reported after consumption of buckwheat flour on Janmashtami

Four children died and 24 others were hospitalised, on Monday (Aug 19) after possibly getting food poisoning at a minority organisation-run orphanage in Kailasa Patnam village of Kotauratla block in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. The tragic incident occurred at the hostel, where around 86 children lived. Most children staying at the hostel are either orphans or children of single parents.&nbsp; 
 
Children who lost their lives due to the tragic incident have reportedly been identified as Jashuva, Nitya, Shradha, and Bhavni, all aged around eight and nine years old.

Anakapalli District Collector Vijaya Krishna said, “While seven children are undergoing treatment at Narsipatnam area hospital, another 17 children were admitted to the government hospital at Anakapalli. Four are being shifted to King George Hospital, Visakhapatnam for better treatment.”&nbsp;

According to the Revenue Divisional Officer of Narsipatnam H Jayaram, kids were served samosas, chocolates and biryani on Saturday (Aug 17) night after a prayer event. She added, they might have eaten stale biryani for breakfast the next day, which might have caused food poisoning.

Jayaram said, “This is believed to have caused food poisoning. On Sunday evening, many students complained of vomiting and uneasiness. They were shifted to hospitals in Anakapalle and Narsipatnam, where three of them died in the morning.”&nbsp;

According to media reports, Shradha who lost her life was critically ill and passed away when she was being shifted to the KG Hospital in Visakhapatnam.

Vangalapudi, the state home minister, said that the police and medical officials have been instructed to conduct a detailed investigation into the case.&nbsp;

Former CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy criticised the negligence of the current state government and said this incident highlights their poor supervision and urged the local authorities to provide the children with the best medical treatment.&nbsp;

The former CM also asked the current government to focus on improving the system and prevent such incidents from occurring.&nbsp;

Andhra orphanage tragedy: Four children die, 24 hospitalised due to food poisoning

Police in Mumbai have arrested two food vendors in connection with the death of a 19-year-old man in the west Indian city.

Prathamesh Bhokse reportedly died after eating 'chicken shawarma' bought from Anand Kamble and Ahmed Sheikh’s stall in the Trombay area on Friday (May 3).

Bhokse suffered from stomach ache and vomiting after he ate the shawarma. He later went to a municipal hospital nearby to get medical treatment.&nbsp;

The hospital authorities informed police about the incident, leading to the registration of an FIR against unidentified individuals under sections 336 and 273 of the Indian Penal Code.&nbsp;

Meanwhile, in a separate incident, 12 people in Mumbai's Goregaon area were hospitalised over the past two days with suspected food poisoning after consuming chicken shawarma from a vendor near Satellite Tower in Santosh Nagar (East).

Teen dies in Mumbai after eating shawarma, vendors arrested

More than 500 people have been admitted to hospital with alleged food poisoning after eating banh mi sandwiches from a shop in southern Vietnam. Twelve of those admitted, including two boys aged between six and seven years, are in critical condition.

Long Khanh town authorities on Monday (May 6) confirmed that at least 560 people had fallen ill after consuming the banh mi sandwiches from Bang bakery in Long Khanh city on 30 April.

Around 200 people had been discharged since then.

According to local authorities, the bakery, based on Tran Quang Dieu Street, sells about 1,100 of the sandwiches every day.&nbsp;

Meanwhile, the number of cases of suspected food poisoning has gradually risen each day, say local hospitals.

The symptoms included diarrhoea, vomiting, fever and severe abdominal pains.

Vietnamese newspaper Health and Life spoke to one woman whose three children were being treated at the intensive care unit at Dong Nai Children's Hospital.

Tran Ngoc Phuong said she bought three sandwiches for her children with extra meat.

Within 24 hours, they all began showing symptoms of food poisoning.

Health officials suspect E. coli as the culprit behind the banh mi illnesses.

Blood tests from critically ill patients revealed the presence of E. coli bacteria, commonly found in contaminated meat, cheese, and produce.

The local health workers are also testing samples of the banh mi sandwiches for further confirmation. 
 
The police said they have launched an investigation.

According to her grandfather Harban Lal, the family ordered the cake around 6:00 pm and Manvi cut the cake around 7:00 pm on March 24. By 10:00 pm on the same night, Manvi's entire family fell sick, and the sisters started vomiting soon after. He added that Manvi was very thirsty and complained of having a dry mouth,&nbsp;she asked for water multiple times and went to sleep.&nbsp;

Her condition deteriorated even more the next morning on March 25 and the family took her to a hospital where she was put on oxygen and an ECG was performed. But unfortunately, doctors could not save her and she was declared dead on the same day, her grandfather added.

Manvi’s family has claimed that the chocolate cake they ordered from a nearby bakery called 'Cake Kanha' in Patiala may have been poisonous.

An FIR has been filed against the owner of 'Cake Kanha' and an investigation is underway. "The postmortem of the body has been done. A sample from the cake has also been sent for testing. We are awaiting the reports," police said.

Following the incident, students of Isfahan University protested, demanding the resignation of the university officials.

“We don’t want rotten food, we don’t want murderous authorities!,”&nbsp;they chanted, Iran International TV reported.

Iranian’s former Mohammad Khatami came out in support of the protesters and urged the officials to consider their demands "before it is too late".

The protests have been pressing the government to outlaw hijab laws, following the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini who died in custody after she was detained for breaking the hijab dress code.

Khatami said the "beautiful slogan" of "woman, life, freedom" showed Iranian society was moving towards a better future.

The 79-year-old leader, who served two terms as president between 1997 and 2005, criticised the arrests of students in the security forces' crackdown.

The comments came in a statement to mark Student Day on Wednesday.

A 19-year-old student had his legs and fingers amputated after eating leftover Chinese takeout food from a restaurant in Boston, US.

According to reports, the college student, identified as JC, developed sepsis and gangrene after eating contaminated leftovers.

The teen’s case was reported in the New England Journal of Medicine, which detailed how he was admitted to Massachusetts General Hospital as he was suffering from “shock, multiple organ failure, skin mottling, and a rapidly progressive reticular rash.”

“The patient had been well until 20 hours before this admission, when diffuse abdominal pain and nausea developed after he ate rice, chicken, and lo mein leftovers from a restaurant meal,” the outlet said.

The person was a part-time worker at the restaurant. After eating the leftovers from the unnamed Chinese outlet, he immediately started throwing up, New York Post reported.

This was followed by chills, shortness of breath, headache, blurry vision, and chest pain. A friend of the patient said that his skin had started to turn “purple”.

“Multiple episodes of emesis [vomiting] occurred, with vomitus that was either bilious or red-brown. The abdominal pain and vomiting were followed by the development of chills, generalized weakness, progressively worsening diffuse myalgias [muscle pains], chest pain, shortness of breath, headache, neck stiffness, and blurry vision,” the journal said.

After undergoing blood and urine tests, he was diagnosed with a bacterial infection called Neisseria meningitidis, which caused his blood to clot and his liver to fail.

His skin necrosis was said to be caused by “purpura fulminans,” a severe complication of meningococcal septicemia.

Though the incident occurred in March 2021, the case went viral on social media after it was shared by YouTuber Chubbyemu last week.

The video has received more than one million views.

The 46-year-old woman died on Sunday after dining with her family at the RiFF restaurant in the coastal city of Valencia.

The woman's husband and 12-year-old son suffered food poisoning after eating at the restaurant but "they have made a good recovery", the court said in a statement.

Another 29 people who ate at the restaurant in the three days before her death also developed food poisoning, it said.

But "their symptoms were very mild, including mostly vomiting" and they made a good recovery, it said.

"The investigating magistrate is waiting for a forensic report and test results from the autopsy."

A court spokesman told AFP nobody has been charged.

RiFF has been closed "until the causes of what happened are established", the restaurant's founder, German chef Bernd H. Knoller, said in a statement.

He said initial tests found the restaurant "complied with all health regulations" and that the restaurant was cooperating with authorities to carry out further tests.

RiFF was opened by Knoller in 2001 and awarded a Michelin star in 2009.

It features a 135 euro ($153) tasting menu including black truffle, imperial caviar and lobster.

"Mahadeshwara Hill Saluru Math seer Pattada Immadi Mahadeshwara Swamy or Devanna Buddhi connived not only to take over the temple trust but also to defame the existing trust members," he told reporters in Chamarajanagar.

The seer was in control of the temple trust till 2017, but was sidelined later, which infuriated him, the officer said.

On orders of the seer, the 35-year old woman allegedly arranged for pesticide and her husband and his friend mixed it in the prasad while it was being prepared, he said.

In October this year, the trust decided to build the 'gopuram' (tower) and revealed its plan to the seer, who readily volunteered and got an action plan for Rs. 1.5 crore from a temple architect in Tamil Nadu, he said.

The seer allegedly planned to mint money but the trust discarded his plan, saying that it was a sheer wastage of money and prepared another for Rs. 75 lakh and decided to hold the groundbreaking ceremony on December 14, which irked him, the officer said.

The seer directed the woman to mix poison in the prasad to defame the temple management and avenge his insult, the officer claimed.

On December 14, the two men had poured 15 bottles of pesticide in the prasad after sending away the cooks, he said.

The cooks returned and noticed a bad smell. They misled the cooks by saying that it was smell of edible camphor added to the prasad.
