Breaking all records in the fruits sale, Jammu and Kashmir has been selling watermelons worth Rs 50 million (US $6,56,000 approx.) every day in the Kashmir valley during the month of Ramadan (which started on April 2 and will last till May 2)

According to the official data, more than 100 trucks carrying watermelon made a stoppage at the Fruit Mandi of Srinagar.&nbsp;

The produce is being brought from various Indian states, including Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra.

''We have been making watermelon sales worth Rs 50 million every day. In the month of Ramadan, it's very warm and the demand for this fruit increases a lot. This time of the year, the produce is mainly coming from Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat and Maharashtra,'' said Bashir Ahmad, President, Fruit Mandi, Kashmir.&nbsp;

The Fruit Mandi has around 300 shops, of which 70 per cent of the shops have started dealing with watermelons, helping the sellers make a brisk business.

According to the officials, Kashmir is one of the biggest consumers of watermelon in the country. And since the produce is brought from far-flung states, the price goes up. Officials say the cost will come down once the produce starts coming from Punjab.&nbsp;

''The transportation cost of watermelon is steep. Kashmiris love watermelon and I think if we compare it across the country, most of the sale takes place in Kashmir alone,'' Ahmad said.&nbsp;

'Tiger 3' is the third instalment of the Tiger franchise. First&nbsp;movie was released in the year 2012 film, named 'Ek Tha Tiger', directed by Kabir Khan. 
The sequel of the first part is named 'Tiger Zinda Hai', directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, that released on 22 December 2017.&nbsp; 
 
The franchise centres on two fictional characters, one an Indian spy (RAW) named Avinash Singh Rathore aka Tiger, and the other a Pakistani spy (ISI) named Zoya Humaini who fall in love with each other.

The bombing hit the Al-Woheilat market in Sadr City, where many families were crowded on the eve of the Eid al-Adha, the most important Muslim holiday.&nbsp;

The announcement of the dismantling of the cell came on the eve of Kadhemi's departure for Washington, where he was to meet US President Joe Biden on Monday.

"I feel so relaxed and peaceful today because it is Eid and there is no fighting," said Mirajuddin, who like many Afghans goes by one name, who was visiting Kabul zoo with his five children, all dressed in new clothes. 
Kabul resident Mohammad Sadeq said there was no more justification in fighting.

Amir Jan Sulaimankhil, a resident of the restive Nangarhar province that has seen several deadly attacks, said the Taliban and government should agree on a permanent ceasefire.

"That will make us happier, as many more lives will be saved," he said.

President Ghani used his annual Eid address to urge the Taliban to agree to a lasting truce now that international troops were leaving.

"We don't want you to surrender, but we want you to accept a political solution. War is not a solution," he said.

Tens of thousands of Afghans have been killed and millions have been displaced by the nearly two-decade-old conflict, which has seen a resurgent Taliban take hold of large swathes of the country.

Businesses, hotels and restaurants as well as markets and parks will be closed, while public transport between provinces and within cities has been halted.

The military has been mobilised to monitor the restrictions.

Mosques, however, which have been packed each night throughout Ramadan -- with few people wearing masks -- will remain open. Authorities fear curbs on places of worship could ignite confrontation in the deeply conservative Islamic republic.

Impoverished&nbsp;Pakistan&nbsp;has recorded more than 850,000 infections and 18,600 deaths, but with limited testing and a ramshackle healthcare sector, many fear the true extent of the disease is much worse.

Health officials have warned that hospitals are operating at close to capacity and they have rushed to increase the number of intensive care beds.

International flights have been slashed and border crossings with Iran and Afghanistan closed, except for trade.

Several animals for Eid, a festival of animals' sacrifice, come from a huge market on the outskirts of Karachi, known as as the largest such bazaar in Asia.&nbsp;

Faisal Sultan, who is helping lead the government's coronavirus response, said Sunday that only 23,000 out of an available 50,000 tests had been utilised in the previous 24 hours.&nbsp;

The health ministry did not immediately respond to a query about why the testing rate was so low.

Many people ignored social distancing guidelines and flocked to mosques and markets during the last religious holiday marking the end of Ramadan in May, helping fuel a subsequent surge in COVID-19 cases across Pakistan.

The increase prompted the World Health Organization to call for new lockdowns across Pakistan.

Amid the rising number of coronavirus cases in India, with Maharashtra as the epicentre, the local government has urged people to keep the 'Bakra eid' celebrations simple and safe.

Maharashtra&nbsp;state Home Minister Anil Deshmukh on Friday asked people to keep the Eid celebrations this year simple and to follow the issued health and safety guidelines.

The guidelines, which were earlier issued by&nbsp;Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, urged locals to stay home and offer namaz from their homes, instead of gathering in the mosques.&nbsp;It also said sacrificial animals should be bought online or over the phone as markets dealing with them will be closed, adding that "qurbani" should preferably be symbolic.

"It's almost two months that Afghans have been in quarantine and surely everyone has suffered a lot during this period," Ghulam Hussain, a Kabul resident at one busy market, told Reuters.

Prices for everything in the market have shot up during the lockdown, he added.

Two of the largest markets in the heart of Kabul visited by Reuters were packed, with most shoppers not wearing masks or gloves and not observing social distancing rules. &nbsp;

"I admit that everyone should observe the hygiene (guidelines) and follow the government and doctors` advice, but what about the attacks and killings that are happening in our country and claim the lives of our people daily?" asked Abdul Saleem, another shopper.

While there has been a partial relaxation of the lockdown, with Kabul`s local administration also announcing fresh guidelines for residents in the lead-up to Eid on Friday, people have been ignoring appeals to respect social distancing.

The Muslim holiday of Eid al-Fitr, which marks the end of the holy fasting month of Ramadan, will be observed either on Saturday or Sunday in Afghanistan, subject to the sighting of the moon.

Most shoppers visiting markets were looking for dried foods to make traditional Eid dishes and new clothes to mark the occassion.

Bakery forms an essential part of Eid festivities and due to the lockdown, the administration has asked bakers to provide home delivery to local people, ensuring hygiene.&nbsp;

Several bakers in Srinagar have already gone for COVID-19 testing and it is only after that, that they have been allowed to start their factories. Around 500 bakers in Srinagar city have been trained and a certificate has also been issued to build confidence between a buyer and a seller.&nbsp;

"We have to adapt to this (COVID) new reality. We are training 10 thousand service providers in total. We started from the bakery and after training, a certificate is provided to them which they display at their shop, increasing trust in the customer," Deputy Commissioner of Police, Srinagar, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, told WION.&nbsp;

The bakery factories in Srinagar are buzzing again after two month-plus of a lull. The fresh aroma of the bakery has started to come out again and bakers are preparing to dispatch vehicles for home delivery.&nbsp;
