<p>“Oh my God! Oh my frickin’ God!” he was heard saying repeatedly as he shot two locomotives along with five fully loaded railcars getting derailed which led to the damages worth $350,000.</p>

<p>The investigators charged the teen on Wednesday (July 24) and also obtained a search warrant which permitted them to seize his mobile phone and 4K digital recorder, which was used by him to shoot strange videos.</p>

<p>As reported by KOLN, the boy had also shared the footage with a local news station.</p>

<h2><strong>Here's how the train derailment occurred</strong></h2>

<p>The investigators were informed by a train conductor that when his train reached near the crossing, he saw that the switch was misaligned,&nbsp;reported KOLN.</p>

<p>He said that he tried to stop the train but he couldn't before it reached the spot where ideally the missing switch should have been placed.</p>

<p>It was later found by the investigators that the padlock which should have been attached to the switch was not there indicating that somebody had tampered with it.</p>

<p>As per the affidavit, a beige 1996 Buick Park Avenue was seen travelling in the area and before that, the 17-year-old was spotted walking towards the switch.&nbsp;</p>

<p>An appeal has been filed to move the case to county court from the juvenile court.</p>

India train wreck: 207 reportedly dead after Coromandel Express derails in Odisha's Balasore, over 900 injured

<p>A train carrying hazardous items derailed and caught fire Saturday in a village in the northern US state of Maine, officials said adding it may have been caused due to track washout.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The train derailed north of Rockwood, a community in Somerset County that borders Moosehead Lake, the biggest freshwater lake in the state, according to the Rockwood Fire and Rescue Department. This rural forested region is about 15 miles east of the town of Jackman.</p>

<p>According to a statement from a representative for Canadian Pacific Kansas City Limited (CPKC), the train derailed at around 8:30 am Eastern time of "track washout" as reports suggest this is a common phenomenon after a very strong downpour, which washes away the ballast and road beneath the track.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Maine Forest Service (MFS) said a "build-up of melting ice and debris" may have been the cause of the washout.</p>

<p>On its Facebook page, Rockwood Fire &amp; Rescue published a picture of the derailment on Saturday and cautioned locals to "stay clear!" There were "no evacuations and no threats to the public safety," according to the CPKC spokesperson.&nbsp;</p>

US: Train carrying hazardous material derails in Maine due to track washout, sparks concerns

<p>Almost a month after the tragic derailment near the Pennsylvania border in East Palestine, Ohio, the US Justice Department on Thursday filed a lawsuit against the transportation provider Norfolk Southern Corp seeking damages for alleged Clean Water Act violations.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The US lawsuit was filed Thursday on behalf of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) seeks to hold Norfolk Southern "accountable for unlawfully polluting the nation’s waterways and to ensure it pays the full cost of the environmental cleanup," as per CNN.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Attorney General Merrick Garland said in a Friday release said, “With this complaint, the Justice Department and the EPA are acting to pursue justice for the residents of East Palestine and ensure that Norfolk Southern carries the financial burden for the harm it has caused and continues to inflict on the community."&nbsp;</p>

<p>On 3 February, 38 cars of Norfold cargo train including 11 carrying hazardous materials derailed and resulted in the release of over 1 million gallons of hazardous materials in the environment, as per Ohio's Attorney General Dave Yost.</p>

<p>EPA Administrator Michael Regan said “no community should have to go through what East Palestine residents have faced.”</p>

<p>Earlier this month, Ohio had also sued Norfolk Southern. Yost in Mid-March alleged&nbsp;that Norfolk Southern breached&nbsp;several local, state, and federal laws&nbsp;as well as the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act of Ohio (CERCLA).</p>

<p>“This derailment was entirely avoidable,” Yost had told earlier this month. “I’m concerned that Norfolk Southern may be putting profits for their own company above the health and safety of the cities and communities they operate in.”</p>

<p>Nagpur-Mumbai Duronto Express <a href="http://www.wionews.com/india-news/utkal-express-derailment-railway-takes-action-suspends-four-officials-19231">train derailed near Titwala</a> in Maharashtra on Tuesday morning.</p>

<p>At least nine&nbsp;coaches and the engine derailed near Titwala, reports said. A rescue team has been rushed from&nbsp;Kalyan. Initial reports said few people have been injured.</p>

<p>ANI news agency quoting railway officials said the train derailed due to a landslide in the area. There is no report of any casualties.</p>

Nagpur-Mumbai Duronto Express train derails in Maharashtra, no casulties

<p>Fourteen wagons of a goods train derailed in the Indian state of Chhattisgarh&nbsp;today, leading to disruption of rail traffic on the Howrah-Mumbai route, railway officials said.</p>

<p>No one was reported hurt in the mishap.</p>

<p>&quot;The 14 waggons of the cargo&nbsp;train carrying ash-like substance and travelling towards Raipur from Bilaspur derailed between Silyari and Mandhar railway stations, around 22 kms away from here, in the wee hours,&quot; a Raipur Rail division spokesperson here told PTI.</p>

<p>&quot;However, no injuries have been reported,&quot; he said.</p>

<p>The incident affected the movement of trains on middle line and up line (Howarh-Mumbai) route, as a result of which over half a dozen trains were cancelled, he said.</p>

<p>Although, down line is being used for the movement of the trains, he said.</p>

<p>Senior officials from the Raipur Rail division were rushed to the site and have begun restoration operations, the spokesperson said, adding the smooth movement of trains on the route will be started soon.&nbsp;</p>
