<p>"Days before the attack in Russia, Tehran shared information with Moscow about a possible big terrorist attack inside Russia that was acquired during interrogations of those arrested in connection with deadly bombings in Iran," one of the sources told Reuters.</p>

<p>Iran&nbsp;arrested&nbsp;35 people in January, including a commander of Islamic State's Afghanistan-based branch ISIS-Khorasan (ISIS-K), who it said were linked to twin bombings on Jan. 3 in the city of Kerman that killed nearly 100 people.</p>

<p>ISIS-K, named after an old term for a region that encompassed parts of Iran, Turkmenistan and Afghanistan, emerged in eastern Afghanistan in late 2014 and quickly established a reputation for extreme brutality.</p>

<p>Asked about the Reuters report, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Monday: "I do not know anything about this."</p>

<p>Diehard fans of AR Rahman, who had attended the concert and spent as much as INR&nbsp;5000 ($60.3) per ticket, have been lashing out at the Oscar winner for the shameful experiences that they were subject to at the venue.</p>

<p>In the run-up to the concert on Sunday evening, the two major highways leading to the venue — East Coast Road and Old Mahabalipuram Road, were choked with traffic. Those who reached the venue with valid tickets were denied entry, owing to overcrowding. Vehicle parking was another major hassle, according to those who attended the event. Hundreds of people with valid tickets were denied entry and forced to gather near the gates, thereby leading to a stampede-like situation, where women were molested, and children and the elderly suffered in the melee. There were even reports of children going missing in the crowds.</p>

Videos have emerged on social media, showing that the convoy of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin was caught up along the same stretch, near the concert venue. The high-security convoy of Stalin was seen driving along what appeared to be the wrong side of the road, in a bid to escape the risky traffic situation.</p>

<p>In what turns out to be a new norm, a troubling trend of performers getting pelted onstage during concerts has raised concerns in the industry with an increase in the number of such incidents.</p>

<p>One recent incident took place last week when rapper Cardi B was captured throwing a microphone at one of the concertgoers in a video who appeared to throw a drink at her while she was performing on stage.</p>

<p>The artists who have fallen victim to this recent trend are Harry Styles, Bebe Rexha, Pink, Ava Max, Taylor Swift and Drake.</p>

<p>Earlier this month, Harry Styles was forced to momentarily halt his performance in Vienna when someone from the crowd threw an unknown object at him that appeared to hit the singer's eye. In the video of the incident that went viral, Styles could be seen wincing onstage before holding his head in his hand, visibly in pain. He later walked off the stage.</p>

<p>“Never throw anything onto a stage or at an artist while they are performing,” The Guardian quoted him as saying. “Phones, soft toys, food, drinks, flowers, and clothing are some of the most common items thrown by fans on stage, but when thrown in proximity and at a fair speed they can cause injury and also be a major safety hazard on stage.”</p>

<p>Footage that emerged from the incident involving Cardi B showed the rapper taking the matter in her own hands after a fan threw liquid over the pop star.</p>

<p>She was accused of battery after she allegedly threw her microphone at a woman in the audience when the fan appeared to throw a cup containing liquid at her.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"After a thorough review of this case and with the consultation from the Clark County District Attorney’s Office, this case has been closed as having insufficient evidence," a spokesperson for the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department told Fox News Digital on Wednesday. "No charges will be filed in relation to this case."&nbsp;</p>

<p>The growing number of such cases has forced the singers to speak up. Recently, Adele called out the behaviour during her show at her Las Vegas residency.</p>

<p>"Have you noticed how people are like, forgetting fucking show etiquette at the moment? People just throwing shit on stage, have you seen them," Adele said. "I f**king dare you. Dare you to throw something at me and I’ll f**king kill you."</p>

<p>Charlie Puth had also requested his fans to halt the “disrespectful and very dangerous behaviour”, while Tyler the Creator urged his fans to “stop throwing your sh*t on stage”, and Kelly Clarkson jokingly told an audience they could only hurl diamonds at her.</p>

<p>Dr Lucy Bennett, a lecturer at Cardiff University, who studies the relationship between fans and musicians, in a conversation with BBC said, “I think something is changing more recently and we’re seeing more isolated, disruptive, individual physical acts such as throwing items.”</p>

<p>She further added that COVID-19 could also be a reason behind the change in people's behaviour as they couldn’t be physically present at concerts during the pandemic.</p>

<p>Recently, Myah Elliott on TikTok said: “We need to normalise calling out toxic fan behaviour when people at concerts are doing things they’re not supposed to be doing that affects other people’s experiences. Do not be afraid to shame them,” she said.</p>

<p>While stressing on&nbsp;the importance of venue safety protocols, Allison said, “Venue rules of conduct exist for a reason – they are there to ensure that event attendees stay safe and can enjoy their time without any problems.”</p>

<p>Multiple gunshot victims were reported as being treated after violence broke out in a campground at the site of the Gorge Amphitheatre in Washington state on Saturday night (US Pacific Time), reports 'Variety'.</p>

<p>The shooting occurred when performances were still going on inside the venue as part of the Beyond Wonderland festival. After initial reports of an active shooter, local authorities reported that a suspect had been apprehended, 'Variety' adds.</p>

<p>Information on the victims' condition was not going to be released before a law enforcement press conference scheduled for 11:30 p.m. (Pacific Time).</p>

<p>But at 10:52 p.m., the Grant County Sheriff's Office tweeted: "We have five confirmed injuries. The suspect is in custody. The scene has been secured."</p>

<p>The sheriff's office also tweeted that Saturday's concert, which is happening about a 20-minute walk from the campground, is proceeding uninterrupted.</p>

<p>Fox3 News in Seattle reported that "according to sources, the suspect was targeting the staff," which is thus far not officially confirmed by law enforcement.</p>

<p>Beyond Wonderland is a two-day EDM festival with dozens of performers.</p>

<p>Many of the 27,000 expected to attend each day stay on-site at the campground, since there are few hotels closer than 45 minutes away and the Gorge is about a three-hour drive from either of the two nearest cities, Seattle and Spokane.</p>

Multiple gunshot victims reported at EDM concert in the US, suspect nabbed

<p>Last week, Roger Waters, the co-founder and former lyricist of the rock band Pink Floyd, drew flak for donning a 'Nazi-style uniform' at a concert in Berlin.</p>

<p>As per the local media reports, Waters performed at Germany's Mercedes-Benz Arena on May 17, where the words, "The show will start in 10 minutes and a court in Frankfurt has ruled that I am not an antisemite, just to be clear, I condemn antisemitism unreservedly," were projected on a screen.</p>

<p>On Friday (26 May), Berlin police released a statement saying that they were investigating Waters for incitement to hatred.</p>

<p>As per the images circulated on social media, Waters could be seen wearing a long, black coat with red armbands on stage at the Mercedes-Benz arena last week.</p>

<p>"We are investigating on suspicion of incitement to public hatred because the clothing worn on stage could be used to used to glorify or justify Nazi rule, thereby disturbing the public peace," police spokesman Martin Halweg told AFP, confirming an earlier report by Jewish News.</p>

<p>"The clothing resembles the clothing of an SS officer," Halweg added.</p>

<p>Waters is known to be a pro-Palestinian activist and has also been condemned for holding anti-Jewish views.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In recent weeks, the singer has performed in several German cities as part of his "This Is Not A Drill" tour.</p>

<p>The crooner has denied the anti-Semitism condemnations arguing that he was demonstrating against Israeli policies and not the Jewish people.</p>

<p>As per AFP reports, at the controversial Berlin concert, Waters flashed the names of several deceased people on a large screen, including that of Anne Frank, the Jewish teenager who died in a Nazi concentration camp.</p>

Berlin police to investigate Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters for inciting hatred by donning ‘Nazi-style’ uniform

<p>There comes a time in each person's life, mostly in the teenage years, when he begins to understand the world around him. And things he encounters during these wonder years have a superb capacity to leave a mark since these become reference points in his experience of life.</p>

<p>For me, this phase hit in the dying years of the 90s and at the dawn of the new millennium. India was almost 10 years into liberalisation and the growing democratisation of commodities meant that 'English' music was no longer the preserve of those few who could source it from abroad and then feel smug about it.</p>

<p>Maybe this is how I 'met' the Backstreet Boys.</p>

<p>Their end product was super-smooth. The chorus was perfect and their physiques Greek God-like. They soon became my first reference point for adulthood. For a 13-year-old kid who did not perhaps even know what heartbreak was, lyrics like 'Show me the meaning of being lonely' felt like an excuse to brood and pretend to have emotions 'just like' adults.&nbsp;</p>

<p>There is something in the emotion of longing that gives ample fodder to an imaginative mind. The endless possibilities in this realm must have seemed tempting as it blossomed.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Backstreet Boys were kings of their genre. They did have formidable contemporaries like NSync, Blue, Boyzone etc who made (sometimes major) waves but there was something in BSB that kept them a little ahead in all the competition. The old guard bred on Classic Rock and smoothest of Jazz will forever deem boybands of the 90s subpar and 'too manufactured'. But even they would agree that it was a decade that had an enduring love affair with them.</p>

<p>These were the years when parents in middle-class Indian homes were hawkish about Western music videos showing 'forward' activities. Backstreet Boys' songs were 'clean' enough and nicely filtered through.</p>

<p>Perhaps I was not alone. Manufactured or not, their music resonated with a generation trying to gain a foothold in an adult world. BSB members were ideal templates for many of them. And this was quite visible in the demographic present for their concert in Gurugram near New Delhi in India.&nbsp;</p>

<p>There were no teenagers crying for their stars like in a K-Pop concert, but an arena full of adults just trying to capture some yesteryear magic. Some of them even had their kids along. And from what I gathered from those who attended the concert in Mumbai, the situation was the same. 'Full Nostalgia' was the verdict.</p>

<p>The BSB concerts in India underlined their ability to sell out arenas three decades after their prime. I am just a music fan and no expert. I wouldn't certainly know for sure but I guess not many A-listers can boast of such a feat. Maybe some have and it's just a fanboy in me giving some extra marks to Backstreet Boys, but the fact remains that they are still a major crowd-puller.</p>

<p>To use a horrible cliche, there are many who still think Backstreet Boys' music would not 'stand the test of time' and so on. But what all the naysayers in the world perhaps can't deny is the band's prime place in the Hall of Fame of trends that defined most of a decade not-so-distant in the past.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Geologists are 'rockstars', a little removed from their guitar-strumming, long-haired counterparts,&nbsp;but with much more intimate knowledge about the literal 'rock' part of the business. Geologists may not lead&nbsp;crowds in&nbsp;doing a nice head-bang but now a crossover between these (very) dissimilar fields may be on the horizon. Scientists are going to make 'rock' music. And Earth is the artist.&nbsp;</p>

<p>This 'concert' will involve seismic waves headlining a live flute performance. This wonderful&nbsp;experiment is slated to take place on Tuesday (May 9). Dr Domenico Vicinanza of the UK's Anglia Ruskin University will reportedly use a computer programme he developed to turn real-time seismic data into a musical score. The data recorded will be taken from a seismograph at Yellowstone National Park in the US. The seismic data will be turned into a musical score.&nbsp;</p>

<p>“I am essentially mapping the [amplitude of the] vibrations and the oscillations to [notes],” he said as quoted by The Guardian.</p>

<p>The musical score generated by the computer programme will be played live on stage by Dr Alyssa Schwartz who is a visiting assistant professor of flute and musicology at Fairmont State University.</p>

<p>This experiment is being carried out as part of the 2023&nbsp;Internet2 Community Exchange conference in Atlanta, Georgia.&nbsp;</p>

<p>So, how will seismic activity, usually a bad thing for anyone living in the area, produce music?</p>

<p>Yellowstone National Park is a volcanic zone. As the amplitude of the volcanic activity vibrations increases, the musical notes will as well. If the seismograph data shows dramatic oscillations, they will reflect in the musical melody.&nbsp;</p>

<p>"I’m pretty sure I am going to get something that is interesting because you always have some sort of [seismic] activity [at Yellowstone],” said Dr Vicinanza as quoted by <em>The Guardia</em>n.&nbsp;</p>

And Earth is the artist. This 'concert' will involve seismic waves headlining a live flute performance. This wonderful experiment is slated to take place on Tuesday (May 9). Dr Domenico Vicinanza of the UK's Anglia Ruskin University will reportedly use a computer programme he developed to turn real-time seismic data into a musical score. The data recorded will be taken from a seismograph at Yellowstone National Park in the US. The seismic data will be turned into a musical score. “I am essentially mapping the [amplitude of the] vibrations and the oscillations to [notes],” he said as quoted by The Guardian. The musical score generated by the computer programme will be played live on stage by Dr Alyssa Schwartz who is a visiting assistant professor of flute and musicology at Fairmont State University. This experiment is being carried out as part of the 2023 Internet2 Community Exchange conference in Atlanta, Georgia. So, how will seismic activity, usually a bad thing for anyone living in the area, produce music? Yellowstone National Park is a volcanic zone. As the amplitude of the volcanic activity vibrations increases, the musical notes will as well. If the seismograph data shows dramatic oscillations, they will reflect in the musical melody. "I’m pretty sure I am going to get something that is interesting because you always have some sort of [seismic] activity [at Yellowstone],” said Dr Vicinanza as quoted by The Guardian.
